The F9F’s are my favorite early jet in the American tree the amount of matches I’ve bullied planes that usually bully everyone else and even to excel where they almost always win is so much fun it’s an amazing aircraft and I def recommend for everyone on the grind

The Javelin also has 4x Firestreaks at 8.3. they're arguably better missiles with radar slaving, a wider seeker head and better manuverability (15G pull)

This looks like it relies on what I like to call the “vulture” Play style which just happens to be my favourite! It is basically staying high and retaining energy and attacking the enemy by swooping in and picking them off after the initial scuffle when they are at a disadvantage, this is an absolutely no dogfighting play style and I do quite like it.

I really like taking advantage of a teammate baiting someone into a stall. Or very slow state. My only thing against the vulture playstile is that sometimes, your team gets wiped and you're alone against like 6-8 other enemies. Happens a lot to me. But when it works, it's a ton of fun

The Cougar has an all flying tail IRL, which is not modeled in game, so it really should not compress like the earlier models.

The firestreak is actually shorter range than the 9B. It only has a 12 second guidance time which is, abysmal. However it is very good at side aspect engagements. Unfortunately in a plane like the Javelin, it's not really up to you to choose your engagements.

If you want to bully G.91s, especially the R-4, play the A-4E skyhawk. Not only are you just straight up better imo, you also have flares to deal with AIM-9s.

To be fair, I've seen a mig 17 dodge multiple r60 missiles, so an aim 9b would be fairly simple. Yes they were my r 60 missiles, no I'm not salty about it.........

Yeah. The MiG-17 just needs to be going 950kmh, and making sure to jink its turns to lead the missile and bleed its speed. I don’t understand how people struggle so much with dodging missiles in this game as the only planes that I can’t dodge advanced missiles in are planes that can’t turn much without ripping their wings and don’t pull enough AoA to dodge. For example, I enjoy using the F-4F Early and I’ve had matches where I dodged multiple R60s and Magics before dying and it feels great to pull of a successful dodge. Whoever that pilot was though, hats off to him for having the courage and knowledge to dodge the missile instead of crying “OP” every time he encountered one.

@@kommandantkillcode I mean to be fair, should those planes really be facing R-60s in the first place? I have dodged two R-60s in a row in my F-86F before, that doesn't mean it was fun and that doesn't mean I can do it consistently. Those sort of aircraft really shouldn't see R-60s (or the equivalent missiles for NATO). And while it is possible to dodge most missiles simply by maneuvering, it does kill your energy, making you an easy target afterwards. Or it forces you to run away in order to out range the missile. Not very fun.

@@_ace_defective_ The only planes that really struggle in that position are the 8.3 and 8.7 subsonics. The problem is the amount of compression in the 8.3 to 10.7 bracket. However, a lot of people think that the fix would be to just uptier the Yak-38, when that wouldn’t fix anything about the tier at all. I think 9.0s should still have the possibility of facing Yak-38s, but not as many as they currently do. 12.0 is probably the most realistic br that we could get where the decompression would be able to take place.

I don't play Jets too often, so whenever I'm getting into a dogfight, my prop instincts come in and I start to turn a lot. I'm glad you made this video. Even though I'm up to rank 7 in the US tree, and rank 5 in USSR, UK, and Germany, I don't play Jets too often. So it's nice to be reminded of better playstyles and choices to make since they perform very differently. Maybe I've spent too much time grinding other Tech trees and spent way too much time in props lol

I frankly really hate "support" planes. I do enjoy helping teammates out when I can, of course. Had a great game in the F-104G where an F-105D baited a Mirage and a Phantom beautifully, and we ended up winning. What I hate is the fact that if you get focused on or chased by just about anybody, you're dead. I'm about to start the F-104S, and I'll have to play like this, lurking around and picking off stragglers and people in a bad situation, but if anything in top-tier decides to tunnel-vision me, there's literally nothing I can do.

Ayo spit. I had this idea for base AA. At least for the later tiers why can’t they add something like the E/A-6 to counter them? Maybe make it available five-seven minutes into the game for your team to call in when they head somewhere back to base. It would kind of block the SAMs from firing at the planes coming in if the enemy is camping their af and give that team another target to hit should they want to make their SAMs effective. It could have a limited loiter time or something but I think it would be an interesting concept especially with larger maps and possibly giving us drop tanks

Actually that's how I play when I am dedicated, pick a target, chase fast disengage and run away if the odds are not favorable, 2-3 kills each game. Fly fast no energy wasted no tight turns, just patience

Those are Roland 1s, first introduced in 1977 in no way are they modern with max range of 6.3km in game and 500m/s they are only deadly to subsonic planes.

This plane is a slog, not fast, not agile, was made terrible when sabres and mig15s went to 8.3, but it's just a treat to fly. Would wreck German mig23mf spam if the rest of the team wasn't eliminating them before I had a chance to reach gun range. Cannons are GREAT even when fully stock because they kill, unlike the mk0 Colt trash that's like bad-day 1200cm-fuse Hisparko. Unless it's an uptier to 9.3, it's likely going to be a good time in this plane that truly rewards great pilots. Sticking its long expenive elf at 8.7 would only change the odds of getting uptiered against strangely low BR Russian planes. A++

1. if you think he's locking ya start doing a very slight turn to the left or right it will start to slightly strain the missile mostly only aim9b/r3s/rb24/pl2 2. This is mainly against missiles like the red top and firestreak, If ya see him locking on to you i reccomend doing a slight turn and when you see a launch use as much energy as you can to dodge it but you will be very vulnerable after you have done it 3. if go against a r60 id say your fucked and the only thing you can do is the previous thing i said but don't even hope on you actually dodging it

No matter the missile, the faster you are the more energy the missile will require to hit you if you can also slightly turn and then turn the opposite direction when the rocket motor burns out.

This guys, reaches his second match, and I see my name on the scoreboard, doing shit. What are the odds of this content creator, I have never seen in my life, have me in his video? It’s filmed fairly recent, I can see my self being mad that my Me163 keep exploding on take off, so I was forced to play that plane. And, the fact the airfield was to far away.
