My 12 year old son and I met Tie Domi in a bar in the LA Forum in the early 90’s. He was great. He posed with my son for a photo, and signed the Kings/Rangers program for him. A true gentleman.

One time in high school back in the early 2000's I was at a kegger in the Lorne Park area ( domi lived in this area) things were loud and getting late... in comes Tie grabs one of my loud buddies, puts him in a jersey and playfully rag dolls him as we all chant " DOMI DOMI DOMI " when we pull the shirt back over my friends face he had tears of joy as Tie was his Idol. GREAT GUY. LOVE YA TIE.

@@aliceullrish5251 Hard to talk crap about such a leaf's legend but the guy only blabbers verbal diarrhea. The thing that really got me in that context of point scoring and importance is how offended he was by the word 'goon'. He and every other hockey 'enforcer' are a goon, by definition. Whether people have misused, overused or done whatever with the word.. It gives him no reason to get offended whatsoever. Makes him look 100 times dumber than he already looked. nounINFORMAL 1. a silly, foolish, or eccentric person. 2. NORTH AMERICAN a violent, aggressive person who is hired to intimidate or harm people "a squad of goons waving pistols" His literal job was intimidation and harming people, and we come from the land of North americas...

As a leaf fan , I admired Domi’s heart for the way he took on much bigger men. Later on in retirement, I grew to dislike the man for the way he waved kids away who were looking for his autograph in arenas around the GTA. He would go to watch Max play, and he would hide in the corners, to keep away from kids. When the odd one would find him, he would refuse them. This from a man with very little hockey skill. He should show the same adulation to the fans as they gave him. I saw Curtis Joseph in the same situation, and he signed everything.
