Splach Twin Plus review: The best electric scooter under $1000?

Here's my review of the Splach Twin Plus electric scooter. It's a dual motor, dual suspension scooter with lightning-quick acceleration, great hill climbing abilities and a comfy ride. It'll even handle some off-road riding too.

CORRECTION: Turns out there are two types of NFC card for this scooter, a "master" card which is used for programming other cards and a regular card for general use. I was using the wrong one in the video, which is why it took a little while to unlock and says "Lu" on the display. When using the correct card it actually unlocks lightning fast, which is great news!

Compared to other scooters ive seen reviewed at around this price range, this may be the most well-rounded scooter. My swagtron 1 can only go as fast as the eco speed 3 setting, but thats an entry level scooter. The area i live in has steeeep hills, and bike trails are sparse/suicidal until you go in downtown. This scooter may be the perfect upgrade for me, good review. Ill keep in mind on the loose bolts and the tire change, the one im using are 5" solid tires, so i needed bigger and more cushiony tires

I’m really interested in this scooter; however, I’d much prefer a thumb throttle. It looks like I’d be able to swap that out fairly easy?

It might be tricky as the throttle is attached to the display, so the replacement would have to be similar enough to change speed modes etc. I'm sure it's possible, with enough effort

I do think there is a workaround behind it due to it working to the same sensors as a thumb throttle. You'd just have to know how to solder and be confident with your electronic tinkering.

Stay away from this product, Its a real nightmare. not reliable at all. it will brake every time you take it out for a ride, either get a flat tire (their solid tires tend to crack within a week very light use) brake issues or controller errors. It's a waste of money and time. please guys stay away from this piece of junk. it made my life miserable. they dont respond your claims, very unprofessional. do yourself a favor and deal with american brands only. also order a new controller had to wait close to a month just to received a non-function controler. this company is a joke, big joke.
