Splash Mountain at Disneyland 2023 Ride POV Experience in 4K | Disneyland Anaheim California 2023

Enjoy a 4K ride experience video of Splash Mountain at Disneyland in Anaheim California! The ride closes on May 31st 2023, so I had to take a trip over there to ride it one last time before their retheme to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure begins. I tried to film as much as I can of the queue, and the ride POV itself is a mix of front row & back row footage. This was filmed on May 13th 2023

Awww the OG Splash. You get soaked on the Laughin Place dip for sure. Disney did improve the storyline flow with WDW's version. And for some reason this drop looks and feel slightly steeper than MK's. Thanks for another excellent vid 4K.

Lol oh yes, I got completely soaked from head to toe while sitting in the first row! The big drop is definitely steeper here compared to MK. I can’t notice it as much from the front row, but you can definitely feel it from the back. It’s my pleasure Andrew, thank you as always!! 😃

🦊🐻🐰YAY! So happy ya got to Anaheim! Talk about deja vu!. The signs, the zip-ah-dee-doo-da must have felt weird but DL's (for the one time I was there) was the same but very different. Amazing, all their water in the laughing place is working😍 (was so disappointed at WDW) Ya got the drop perfectly but got slammed lense wise, huh? LOL How many times did you get on & did ya get pressed pennies from there? So nice to see the majority of animatronics working for you. Thanks for sharing your experience!! 💜

Yep, I’m so glad I made it out there! It was only a quick weekend trip , but it’s still better than not going at all! The ride was in pretty great shape overall(at least compared to the MK one before it closed) so that was nice to see. Lol yep, I literally got completely soaked in the first row! It’s as if I just jumped into the pool with all my clothes on😂 the camera/lens held up nicely though! Got to ride a few times but unfortunately forgot to get some pressed pennies. That just slipped my mind! Such a crazy weekend but am glad it worked out. Thank you so much as always Liz😊

I'm glad you made it out there before DL closes Splash. It's still a bummer and I will always miss hearing Zip-A-Dee-Doh-Dah in the park. Some interesting differences between the 2 versions! Thanks for a great video of a fantastic ride!

Yes, I almost didn’t make it but glad I had enough time for a quick weekend trip! There definitely are many differences between the DL and MK versions, but I actually liked that they both weren’t the same. The one in Tokyo Disneyland is the best one, at least that’s what it looks like from the videos I’ve seen! It’s my pleasure as always, thank you so much!! 😃

Thanks for this surprise video! So glad you got to Disneyland and filmed Splash! I’m hoping Disney won’t be tone deaf and possibly might decide to keep Splash Mountain at Disneyland! It would certainly save millions of dollars that they don’t have.

Best ride in Disney history. Easy. Some of the music from Princess and the Frog is incredible, so I’m holding on to that. Though I’m also prepared for more disappointment.

Great video! Been to DL & WDW numerous times but for some unknown reason never been on a Splash Mountain ride. Those plaques are Uncle Remusʻ sayings straight out of Song of the South, absolutely love the movie. My regret is I wonʻt see this ride in its original setting as Walt Disney intended it to be 😥. Critter Country wonʻt be the same, but I love Princess and the Frog so I have some hope. Still, this video is definitely one for posterity. Thank you.

That's a heck of a crowd... How long was the wait in line? I know that this change has apparently bothered some people, but I'm actually curious to see the new overlay; there's so much they can do, and at least in WDW it will tie in nicely with the Port Orleans resorts, which it will hopefully resemble. If they put in the effort they put into the Princess rooms, it should be wonderful.

I was there for only a couple of days, and the wait time throughout the day was consistently between 85-95 minutes. It would go down at night, but that’s cause it would get super chilly fast. The retheme has so much potential, and hopefully Disney realizes that they can’t slack on this at all

I cant believe it's closing in just 9 days! I went on the 28th of April and lost my hat on the final drop XD but it was so worth going on it 1 last time! (don't worry I got a new hat of the old one.)

So glad you got to do this (both for you and for us)!!! It has been a very long time since I got to ride this at DL (20 years I think, Whoa!) Love all those quotes posted in the queue!! Wow! did not expect the feelings of nostalgia for this even though I don’t have the history of getting to ride it (either version, MK or DL) that you have…I guess just now really sinking in for me that it really is gone at MK. I understand the reasoning…but Uncle Remus tales were someting from my childhood. And, leaned to sing Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Da! when I was really young (without even knowing where it came from). I never saw Song of the South, but heard and read so many stories from Uncle Remus…so much like Aesop’s fables how they were presented to me. Sure looks like you got soaked (from all the spach up on the camera when in the front row).

Yes, I’m also so glad I got to film this version before it closes! The trip was a crazy one, but so worth it to ride this one last time. I grew up with the MK version so I naturally loved that one more, but this one is wonderful as well. Hoping to go on the Tokyo one eventually, because that one looks like the best version out of the 3! I understand what you mean Rick. I grew up loving this ride, the characters, etc without knowing anything about the history of them/the movie until my late teen years. Lol I did get absolutely soaked in the first row. If princess and the frog uses a bunch of screens and no animatronics the ride is an instant disappointment 😔

You know the ironic part about the remodeling: They're replacing a ride based on a movie accused of sanitizing history with another ride based on a movie accused of sanitizing history. I'm sure Tiana's Bayou Adventure (the name is starting to stick) will be great but Splash Mountain was good the way it was. So what if the movie it was based on was actually racist? Nobody's perfect but it was a great ride.
