Love the psychology behind some of these tips, especially the 30 degree rule and using drastically different angles to build more drama or suspense while a simple 30 deg. feels like a shift to the next thought while maintaining the same tone.

Hi. Thank you. I’m pleased you’re enjoying the videos. Honestly, it’s not really a rule. It really all depends what’s in the frame. Boomer alert! Started working as a cameraman in the mid 90s; the go to handheld shots were from the shoulder with ENG cameras, so roughly at eye level UNLESS you were trying to make your subject more heroic... Skip to now, where most cameramen started out with DSLRs or similar lightweight and boxy small cameras. In 90% of KZbin videos by cameras are held bij the handgrip. Underslung? Is that even a word? Hero shots galore. Do you reckon anyone has even wondered about this before watching your video?? Just my two cents..
