I’ve used splat luscious raspberries for quite a few years a while back, and it has always stayed in my naturally dark blonde hair for a super super long time. It’s almost like it’s a fabric dye or something. It never fully faded from my hair. It eventually just got cut off

i think you should catalogue and show off any and all dyes you want- even if it sucks or is a bit, well, special, we can look at it and you can share your thoughts and tips if you have any! i always check your channel whenever i want to buy a dye, your videos are wonderful!! I've considered splash to dye the very tips of my hair but didn't go for it because i couldn't find before afters :x

I personally like splat for what it is. Its accessible, lasts for forever and the colors look good (that I've used). Do they stain literally everything? Oh yeah, definitely! But, the dyes last for such a long time. I had left over peach from dyeing it with this pink for nearly a year afterward. It was insane, but I mostly only dye my hair pink so it wasn't ever an issue

So I haven't used Splat that says to bleach over natural hair, buuuut I did use two different colors of the Splat that specify they're for darker hair on my 2 daughters' unbleached hair. They both had that same mousy brown/dark blonde color that lots of girls have. We dyed the under portion green for the older one and the younger one chose red for her short pixie cut. It...was...awful. The dyes worked really well, meaning the coverage was there BUT it bled enough to stain everything for well over a month. It was insane! Tub, towels, pillow cases, shirts, necks, faces...all stained. The red color finally washed out by the end of the summer (or maybe because we keep her hair short we cut it..? I don't remember). The green color stayed until it grew out long enough for us to cut it off. It was there (but faded) for a good year or so. I knew Splat was awful, but decided to try the darker hair version thinking it wouldn't stain the hair or bleed as much. It was just as bad. My girls are 11 now, and while some people might come for me for doing this, I find it much easier just to bleach their hair and stick with dyes like Artic Fox and Manic Panic. One of them is in 6th grade and has bleached money pieces and the other is in 5th grade and keeps her hair super short and bleached. They love changing up their color, which is impossible to do with Splat since it never ever ever washes out. Between it staining the hair and how it rubs off and bleeds everywhere, it's just not worth the hassle at allllllllll.
