I've decided to make it my mission to keep wellstrings off of the map whenever I see the opportunity. Bloblobbers and Clashes are annoying but Blob can literally be ran at (slow shot velocity) And Clash can be too (Atrocious DPS) But currently it seems like the Wellstring has a quick answer to everything while spending 80% of the match spamming 5 AOE HITBOXES

i think the uncharged melee swing is actually kinda underrated as a close range kill option; its obviously more situational, but its way less commital and kills in the same amount of time. it occasionally comes in handy

funny story for you all. my friend, as a joke because he wasn't winning matches, decided to build an all special up build (we both run inkbrush). he has done consistently better than me in all of our matches now when i used to carry, and has gotten up to 11 wails a game. it's honestly really fun because clams is our favorite mode. so whenever we want to enter, we just both pop wail and zoom. we always make the joke that killer wail meta is real because one game we knocked out with four wail weapons.

Inkjet is one of the highest skill cieling specials. Not having a poking tool is tough, but as long as you can play for paint and special it works out well. I always run at least two subs of special power with any jet weapon, for this I ran more.

I haven’t gotten used to the janky Grizzco Splatana kind of dash mechanics where you either dash forward a lot or stand still. A lot of times I accidentally dash forward right into enemy fire…

very much enjoyed watching not only gameplay but that combined with thought process/struggle. just a very pleasant and fun experience. as someone who hasnt picked up a splatana since world premiere, ive been having a blast fiddling with decavitator. its nice to try something different and have an adrenaline fueled desire to continue to practice with it. hope to see more :-)

It's interesting seeing how versatile this weapon is. I played support competitively in S2 and have always had more of a passive style, and i've been playing around it's absurd paint, using inkjets to get my team in, using the wide hitboxs to spread damage and combo with my teammates. And then I watch this in horror as you dash in during situations I wouldn't dream of doing it in, and that also works out somehow. Amazing weapon, cool enough to get me to drop range for it, even with crb coming out lol

So I find this weapon is best on splat zones and sometimes tower control. It has a huge melee hurtbox which is really good for pulling off flanking.

For now this weapon seems to be a slow attacker but with bubbler this might be support, if im not mistaken and with suction bomb just like with custom splattershot jr Charcoal has ink jet which is weird but *may* be necessary (imagine a splatana with trizooka) but still doesn't tell much about it Don't know if this is actually how everybody is going to think about this weapon but i just find the speed of the weapon to be pretty slow to be attacker

I started playing Decav because I like mid range weapons that paint decently and have good chip damage. It's hard to use since I'm not a Splatana player [ I keep wiffing lunges :( ]. Mint is fun, though, so I'll keep on trying!
