Splatoon 2: Octo expansion. An octoling girl wakes up in an underground facility. As she makes her way through, she is guided by an A.I. being that promises a reward if a series of tests are completed beforehand. After the tests, she gets the reward, but the A.I. turns out to be evil, and the reward turns out to be death. She somehow escapes that death, and now has to escape the facility. She makes it to the top, where she meets the A.I. and defeats it in a battle to the death, destroying it for good. This is the same story as Portal.

23, I consider myself a splatoon veteran and believe me when I say this; Going through all 80 tests is an absolute slog and will break you if you lack the determination. I never once used the cheat to complete any level (though was tempted with one level, can't remember which one though) so I got all the rewards. And this expansion will transform you into a nightmare on the turf war in multiplayer. completing all 80 tests also unlocks a secret final boss fight and HOOO-BOI if nothing else broke you yet like a pencil; this *will*. it's free to do, but my gosh, it's insane. I gotten sooo close to beating it so many times but then one teeny-tiny ink drop hits me and ends it all.

Seriously tho, Splatoon has the best soundtrack of any 1st party Switch game, hands-down. Spans multiple genres of music and they all feel like they fit both in-universe and in a kids game. Hell, we got *SQUID METAL* as a genre in the 1st game!! This DLC was definitely what put Splatoon 2 from "a great sequel" to "a perfect game" for me. I can't wait to see where they take this IP (I'm really hoping Salmonoids are the next main baddies, I wanna see where that can go), and I'll shell out for more amiibo if I have to. The difference with the brainwashed boss than the one in Splatoon 2 original campaign mode is that you were not directly fighting them, you were just fighting DJ Octavio, not Callie herself. Would be cool to actually fight Callie 1 v 1 but you didnt. AT least here, in this one you get to fight the brainwashed boss in a 1 v 1. which happens to be Agent 3.

I would argue echo fighter is a better bet because they'd have to have a different final smash (killer wail isn't a special in Spla2n) and the octolings would likely have slightly different moveset. Octoshot, for example. I don't believe Octoshot and Splattershot have different stats in the game, but it'd still be a detail they would likely take a look at.

I also skipped the final boss at first bc of anxiety issues, but I went back and redid it.
