something about splatoon 2 which i do prefer compared to splatoon 3 is the casualness. i feel like splatoon 3 got way more competitive and i’m not sure why. it could be the map design or the improved mechanics but i find myself getting much more frustrated with myself when playing splatoon 3 than i ever did with the second game

I feel that (at least with me) I was very low ranked in Splatoon 2 and I mainly played turf bc ranked was scary, meanwhile in Splatoon 3 I’m a lot higher of a rank and I play a lot more anarchy n stuff so naturally I go up against better players.

I miss when there were squid parties in Turf. I use to see them alot. But in Splatoon 3, I have only seen one or two.

Splatoon 3 may have been a step up from Splatoon 2 in almost every way (special design, new lobby, single player, etc), but Splatoon 2 is still great even if it’s the weakest of the trilogy now. Also, as someone who also really likes Splashdown, I’m absolutely fine with it not being in Multiplayer Vs in Splatoon 3 tbh. I love that it’s in Return of the Mammalians and I wish it was in Salmon Run, but it’s so easy for humans to kill you while you’re using it, making it just not fun in higher level ranks.

Splashdown is really fun, I doubt it’s coming back. But I wouldn’t be opposed to it!

I complain about splatoon 3 lag but I prefer this than getting mad every second I played splatoon 2.

Splatoon 2 honestly wasn't the best, but it also wasn't the worst either. I feel like it had a bunch of trashy excess stuff in it (The worst part was the cutscenes that had a whole bunch of useless stuff in it) and I feel like it just didn't feel as natural. It felt kind of... rushed. And low-quality. I feel like its only redeeming features were Squid Beatz and the Octo Expansion (Seriously why'd they remove Squid Beatz in Splatoon 3 that's one of the only fun things I can do while I'm offline) Anyways, Splatoon 2 online was way better than Splatoon 3's (Well, I had better wifi during the time that I played Splat2, now I have a trashy hotspot in a place with zero cell service) but I think that's one of the only good parts about it. I miss Ruins of Ark Polaris (I really only became interested in that Salmon Run map after learning about the fact that it is Grizz's origins) and also various stages like Port Mackerel, Moray Towers, and a few other maps that didn't end up in Splatoon 3. I also miss the Kensa weapon sets. Anyways, in my opinion Splatoon 2 was the worst Splatoon game, but that's just my opinion. The first game was fun, but had its fair share of less-than-average stuff, and Splatoon 3 is probably the best game of the trilogy so far, with all the new things and just the fact that it's just plain fun. Anyways, thanks to anyone who reads this rant. I have to go to the store because I'm at the beach and there's no grape Propel and there's no snacks, so yeah. Stay Fresh!
