It's implied that the "Mr. Grizz" bossing us about in the field is just a set of prerecorded lines that play depending on the situation, such as a Cohozuna attack or a particularly incompetent crew failing to get a single egg. Grizz may be dead, but the "answering machine" setup he has going will continue running Grizzco.

agreed, frye's is by far the coolest. with the eels all roaring, how many she controls, and how she's goofing off to show she doesn't really think of you as a threat without being too silly, versus shiver's constant puns. plus the fact we see say less eels than sharks in media and i really wish big man's fight had more to it than the reference, it would've been cool to see how a creature without ink could fight.

The fact Frye Controls Many Eels and Shiver Controls a fucken god damn shark makes them even more badass. Also there just treasures hunters so technically there not bad guys, just that were all after the same thing. Just a battle to see who claims first dibs in a god old battle. As for big man... his boss fight is so easy.... kinda makes me feel bad just for defeating him. But he gives us a fancy gear and moral support. Honestly these characters gives us an idea what they can do if fan decides to make fan stories of how they obtain there power and how each of them meet up. Over rall the fact we fight Mr. Gizzs in the final tells us all these times we fish for those power eggs where just a scheme to power up a damn rocket, though I'm not sure how he's gonna do it since well what he's gonna do, Ink Nuke it? Besides I don't think we see the last of Mr. Gizz yet or maybe he is. It's just werid for him to be killed off in space since he's a giant bear. Anyways can't wait for the DLC for off the Hook! Maybe we can see humans!

The Fact that Big Man and the Phantamanta are basically the same fight, is probably going to cause people to theorize that Big Man was actually that boss in Sunshine. We have no idea WHERE Phantamanta comes from, it appears out of nowhere. But, this explains a lot. Mario takes places Millenia after Splatoon 3 and Big Man was compliant with Bowser.
