Splatoon 3 but Super Jump Speed is Maxed Out

Today I attempt to play Splatoon 3, but I only have quick super jump (AKA the greatest ability in the game). Let's see how much of an advantage the speed of light can give me!

I disagree about it not being useful! I've been experimenting with different builds and I've gotten in some great matches with nearly maxed out super jump (I have the "hide super jump position" but everything else is fast super jump).

You should consider doing exactly this but with stealth jump. That way you can jump in without being seen.

So yeah... having a "balance" is good when using gear abilities but the real reason you don't stack a bunch of pure's of the same ability is Nintendo intentionally nerfs it by giving you diminishing returns as you have more of the same ability applied. there is a whole bunch of information on this online but that is the gist of it. Would be really cool tho if the game just let you stack the same ability with the gains stacking how you'd expect them to

The way you would super jump to spawn and then super jump to a teammate to take the time to think instead of just trying to super jump to a random teammate is actually pretty smart 😭

In all reality, qsj is actually the best ability in the game. You only need 1 sub of it and you can escape so many situations. Every weapon used it.

QSJ is so good that even in places you’re not allowed to use Sub Abilities, it’s worth running as a Main.

Now that you mention it, I've never actually thought about mixing the two sets together. I'm 90% confident that putting them together would have an effect, but I don't know if at a certain point the jump speed would stop rising. I'll need to test it sometime if I run into someone with pure sub up!

You can benefit your teammates with this. If you have quick super jump and you place squid beakons, any team members who jump to it will have the same speed.

I had a ton of quick super jump in splatoon 2. Unfortunately the gear I used is super expensive at grizzco and the shoes just don’t exist anymore. So I can’t have my snazzy comfy gear anymore. Kinda funny seeing all this easy to get gear being so exclusive now.

Sub Power Up makes jumping to Squid Beakons faster. Meaning if someon else has all Sub Power Up, and you have all Quick Super Jump, when you jump to their Beakon, you go zoomies

About booyahing when super jumping, I found out that happens because you press the down button _just_ before opening the map. If you quickly open the map first before the down button you don't booyah.

3 pures of sub power up + beacon will make you jump even faster than just 3 pures of quick super jump. I can say this because I have 3 PURES OF EVERY ABILITY IN THE GAME (aside from main exclusive ones.)

Another thing that helps is playing Salmon Run. After you get all of your main rewards for a shift, you get a bunch of random pieces of gear. You can exchange them for chunks, and I pretty much have an endless supply of them to make these stacked gear sets.

Since you can jump to spawn and to other players by using the D-pad, I just press down and immediately click to jump to spawn. If you hold down before opening the map, your reticle will automatically aim at spawn, so you can jump straight away after opening the map.
