I think the swearing/"censor sound" is because of the lore behind the in-game band. according to Splatoon wiki SashiMori "remixes vocals from a long lost ancient species" hinting they remix old human recordings. so the censor sound might've "already been there" and they just used it in the music

To anyone wondering why there's a swear bleep in the track, there's two theories! It's known that SashiMori samples ancient recordings by non-sea life, thought to be recordings by humans. So: 1. The band either recognized the human word as a swear word and bleeped it themselves (my personal favorite stance), or 2. The bleep was already a part of the recording and it simply made it into the final mix of the song. Either way, the song is great. Happy listening!
