This was the first Extra Life that I donated to! And I just had to pick this game since I'm a massive Splatoon fan! Although I never played this game in particular (because I didn't own a Wii U), I felt like I had to get this played before it shuts down forever in April so that there's a record of Splatoon 1 out there on the internet after its time has passed. Sure, dedicated Splatoon content creators probably have loads of content on this game including quite a few revisits from post-Splatoon-2, but this segment depicts the experience of a group of people who are mostly out of the loop when it comes to this series, which I feel is just as important and has its own charm.

Splatoon was one of those games I never got into, but wish I did.

I was trying to join the battle, problem was I was a level 37 and therefore not put in the same lobby. I had to close out my web browser in order to receive the signal for the TV without 10 seconds of delay. If not for that, I would have known of the lack of proper level players and could have used a backup account. But alas, I only ever encountered TAB. If only I could have made it into the lobby of that final round where higher level players were finally let in...
