The pressure society puts on us to be 'perfect' in order to be successful is ridiculous. You haven't 'failed' if you don't get it right on the first try. And the FEAR of failure kills creativity. Here's my suggestion - mix up some paints and play! Give yourself the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. You'll surprise yourself - I guarantee it. AND you'll have more fun!

My pillow paint is Sherwin Williams Interior Housepaint, Pure White, Eggshell.
My colors are mixed 1 part Ultra Deep Base to 1 part tube paint, and thinned with JoSonja Gloss Varnish.
My cell activator is mixed 2.5 parts Australian Floetrol to 1 part paint.

Oh Nate, those little boulder cells are so pretty and give it great interest. At first it looked like the coolest flying lizard in some forest or jungle with little secret wings outstretched soaring thru the air. Those brillant blues and pinks are stunning together. Then with another spin the little boulder cells looked like they were cascading down a blue dragonflies tail. And with more spins this special flower appears in all her glory. The transformations in this painting were so lovely to watch. The splatter is such a great instant gratification to watch it splat! Never gets old! The sheer watery effect just gave it a wonderful magical beauty. Wonderful. Thank you.

This turned out cool! Your first one totally looks like a dancing lady when her hand out till you swiped away her hand lol ! I liked the first one too but totally get the splatters we’re almost completely gone by the time you spun it out . Beautiful work as always NAte darling 💕💕🐣

Love it!!!! Beautiful idea!!! I have found that using Jo Sonja in my PM creates wonky cells. If you replace the Jo with another varnish like varathane triple thick in gloss that works great in my PM. Creates stronger cells that hold up better. Some people skip the varnish entirely 🥰

Those colors on that white looked like you did a watercolor painting when you started blowing it out, love how it softened the colors. Wonderful results!!! I agree tho I was shocked when u scrapped the first one, I thought it was beautiful..... I don't think it's ur cell activator I think it's ur metallic doing that

Lovely! You make this look way too easy. It is not easy at all! I will be practising this one. Question...I think I have my pillow and colours too thick. Is the consistency thinner than the bloom technique? Thanks for sharing! Your videos are so easy to listen to and very informative.

Hi Hazel! These are bloom technique paints. So the pillow paint (white interior house paint) is the thickest consistency, the colors are a bit thinner (tube paints mixed with Ultra Deep Base with gloss varnish to thin) and the cell activator is a very thin consistency (tube paint mixed with Australian Floetrol).
