I played as much as there is to play today, took me about 1h, and probably found all the bugs too 😹 but I think the ideas are pretty solid (if only because they're frozen?), looking forward to further development. A very cool game, and certainly a bonanza of puns as well, just the tip of the iceberg.

The critical mining points were one of the features in Fortnite that I really liked. Turned any salvaging into a little minigame, made it more satisfying than just holding down a button and waiting for something to break. Was hoping to see other games copy it, haven't seen anything similar to it until this game. Haven't touched Fortnite in a long time. I have no interest in Battle Royale, which seems to be the game's primary mode. I really wanted Save The World to go somewhere, but the grind was tedious and unrewarding, and the salvaging and building couldn't do much to change that. They didn't seem too interested in feedback, despite having a way to provide it in-game, which not a lot of games do. Got my hopes up about its future, I used that a lot when I ran into issues. Apparently Save The World has been getting updates... Mebbe it's more tolerable now.

If you have ever had your geologists pick come bouncing back like you hit a force field you get to learn about finding the sweet spots on rocks that need smacking. I have spent decades wandering Canadian tundra and have yet to find a paper plant. I will have to look harder I guess. Pretty sure Jelly Berries are like an endangered species but screw 'em this is survival!

It doesn't seem like a bad game at all. But it doesn't seem like it really offers anything new, or unique. It seems so bland. Like, what does it offer me that other survival games don't already? What am I supposed to see here that makes me go "Oh, that is a cool thing, I wanna do that my self". Seems like a bit of a rehash of already existing ideas, mixed together. And after reading the description, and planned features on their Itch. It really seems like it is just trying to be Subnautica, but on land, and in the cold. And not really adding anything new.
