Hey Splatt you should look at a game called vintage story, it looks alot like minecraft but thats where the similarities end... its more of a hardcore survival game

youre only thinking about the 2d grid space, not the actual map topography. You couldnt rotate buildings without really large cliffs supporting the houses or having them slant along the slope of the mountain. You can see how it makes smaller flat areas to support the buildings that are wide and thin, to support living on slopes.

This looks like it could really do with stealing the little worker assignment window from Banished; that made handling workers super handy; while also letting you manually adjust the maximum number of workers a given building will employ if you need to spread them around within a given job category.

Was considering getting it until I saw that it has like 5 DLC's. I can't get into a game that already has a bunch of DLC, because I cant justify buying them all and I can't play it knowing there are core DLC's out.

Reminds me of against the storm in chill city builder but not quite as fun

I think the reason why you failed the fishing quest is because you did not build a fishing hut. The quest asked you to build a new one, it did not account what you had already built.

Mech Warrior is one of those old near an dear classics they hardly miss.... sooo many memories playing Mech 1 an Mech 2 in the early 90s as a kid ugh Nova/Gargoyle so much fun

Picked this game up yesterday/ Been having a lot of fun with it.

I played this game early in the early access and it had some issues. Pacing was too slow, the hero would get stuck on trees and require the tree to be cut down to free him, it was easy to get into a nobility currency death spiral with the events that popped up, and maintaining happiness was difficult. Now that it is at v1.0 I'm going to try it again. Before it had needed more time in the oven.

I'm actually sold on the idea of a partial AFK type game like this where you basically can't lose and have and "afk" game while working you can tinker with throughout the day... kind of like those old desktop pet games that allowed you to beat an animal and decompress after receiving a passive aggressive email.

Does know if it always has a bluish haze/fogginess to it? It looks cool but haze is annoying me just watching this.

Played it for 10 hours in and completed the game fully. Definately kinda lackluster content wise. No buildings/ mechanics you havent seen before in other games. The only difference is that it has a light fantasy vibe.

A fun drink game : take one sip every time splatter say "and things of that nature"

Important things, like finding a crewmate which could not be saved after 24h, should have a clear path. Like, in Rimworld you can see the entire map. If thats not possible here, then at least give us some rough coordinates or directions.

Seems its time to do another playthrough and see what content has to offer. Last time I built and dabbled on all there was. Its a fun game.

Oops, Splat didn't build a new fisherman's hut. He got enough fish, but the quest wanted him to build a new hut for some reason.

If your mill is too far, you can empty the workers and move it. The move is instant and it doesn't lose what's stored in it. Great feature.

The fact that Jack's bean stalk is part of your kingdom is really pushing me to buy this game lol. Plus I love banished-type games more than is healthy for me
