Now most stealth games or games with stealth segments are linear and have a waypoint directing you to the exact enemy. Splinter Cell is very niche. I like it that way. Its for hardcore stealth enjoyers. You use darkness for cover and your wits to get to the next objective. You do all this while playing as Sam Fisher, voiced by Micheal Ironside.

The reason I loved Splinter Cell's 1-4 was because of it's stealth. It made it DIFFERENT from other games in every way, so unique. After conviction it was just another shooting game, with much less stealth. Much less and you know it.

2:25 holy shit this brings back memories, 12am in the morning when I was 10 years old and my parents told me to go to sleep. I would boot up double agent on my gamecube and play iceland just because this music was so fucking awesome. Music makes the stealth. Splintercell was the only game that had kickass music that was as good as the stealth

I agree with you, however without money, you can't make it in the gaming industry. Ubisoft did that so that the game would appeal to new younger gamers too. if Ubisoft didn't do that, then the current fan-base for splinter cell would slowly die out and so would the franchise. Besides, Ubisoft are adding elements from the older games to Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Why was it not awesome? Just because it wasn't as stealth based as the older splinter cell games? So what? Ubisoft got bored of doing the same thing so they wanted to spice it up and try a different approach to them game. The game still has stealth elements its just faster than the older games. What's wrong with that? Games evolve over time and change their style, but they still maintain a sense of their original style.

It was good yes but Chaos Theory was the best, and so was the very first splinter cell, i loved the killing mechanics in chaos theory so much and the music, 1 mistake they made was not bringing back the alert and caution music.

conviction is not the best graphics , the black white effect is bad . i think chaos theory was in this own time the best splinter cell with best graphics and nice sounds too. double agent has to short levels and to much the same level (mainquarter JBA) . conviction , there is no choose to kill or not kill . Chaos Theory 1 place , Pandora Tomorrow 2. , Double Agent 3 , Third Echolon 4 , Conviction 5 . this is it :-)
