There was a lot of time to reload in between that. In that moment we leave Fisher's perspective and go into Kobin's, a choice that we felt built suspense since Kobin is now the vulnerable one. Fisher slinks into the shadows and we no longer know what he's doing.

What I Like about this video directing is the camera and the editing. in most action films today we have FUCKING AWFULL SHACKY CAM that blurs the vision and distracts, and also quick editing. But Warialasky here did steady shots, so you could se what happened, and few cutaways, everithing is well shot, that´s how you direct an action film/short. WELL DONE WARIALASKY, YOU ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND ACTION. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH.

This video was AWESOME. I especially loved the part when you guys used Michael Ironside's voice in the interrogation scene. The only gripe i have about it was Fisher's facial expression when he has interrogating Kobin. If you guys make another one, and have better facial expressions when talking, it would be even more awesome. You just earned a new subscriber.

He's Sam fisher from Splinter cell conviction as in that game he has to save the president and rescue his daughter who he thought was hit by a car. in that game, he hardly uses any equipment. It's a good game

I wasn't sure what to expect when I cued this up.... And ended up very impressed with what I saw. Only three nitpick items... Fisher's gunfighting style is center axis relock, not a modified Weaver. His hand to hand combat style is Krav Maga, which could have been portrayed better. And I love Michael Ironsides as Sam Fisher, but hearing his voice coming out of your twenty something lead actor was a tad.... jarring. That said, the camera work was great, the hud was spot on, the contextual help effects were perfect, the lighting was excellent... As someone else stated in the comments, it looked almost like some very good next gen footage. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else you guys might do with the Splinter Cell ip. Good job!

Warialasky, this movie you have made is outstanding !!! For a moment, I forgot that all the setup in this video was 'not a game' :-) I felt like playing (watching) the actual game itself. Amazing camera panning, film direction and of course, the actors also played their part very well !
@Warialasky12 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your criticism, in future Splinter Cell videos, when we have a budget and some real time to work with, we will be sure to pay more attention to Sam's movement and stance. Its important to note that Rob is not a martial artist. He's a free runner and a stunt man who did the best job he could with short notice and almost no training. I think he did an excellent job. Also, at 1:19, that is a stance Sam takes during execution shots. It's in the game, so we put it in our video.

We didn't forget. The audience leaves Sam's perspective when Kobin starts going nuts. He has plenty of time during that monologue to reload.
@UpsidedownUtopia11 жыл бұрын
I'd pack it all in a nutshell, but here goes: You guys did a great job! I think what really sells the "Real-Life" feeling of the video was the one-shot takes in the video, and the transitions at 2:02, and 4:02. Secondly, the soundtrack was amazing. I've never played the game before, but I think something similar to the soundtrack and sfx should all be used in the next video, and maybe even the next game. And lastly, just the over feel of the video was 100% awesome! Phew!

@Warialasky12 жыл бұрын
I always appreciate feedback, so thank you for letting me know what you think could be better, but I still feel like showing Sam reload isn't necessary. The focus is being shifted away from him - in other words we as the filmmakers wanted to focus on Kobin's terror and have Sam disappear completely. The audience is in Kobin's mind now, and Kobin has no idea where Sam is or when he's going to come out. That's why we don't show Sam reloading.

Truly amazing video. Hud is spot-on and so are the camera angles and soundwork. The only thing that kinda bothered me was that Fisher's shooting style / stance wasn't Center Axis Relock like in the game. I saw that you tried to replicate Fisher's way of shooting to the side from the hip at 1:19, but it looked off because it wasn't from the Center Axis Relock stance. Would love to see this stance in the next video!

I am impressed and I really like this video. As a hardcore Splinter Cell fan I very much enjoyed in the fluidity of the movie. You really put a lot of effort into this one and is an excellent homage to the Splinter Cell Conviction. One thing I would still like to point out. Sam Fisher's shooting technique in Conviction is Center Axis Relock (CAR System). Other than that, everything is nicely done, from Mark and Execute killings to Michael Ironside's original Sam Fisher's voice and especially Kobin's interrogation is very believable. I hope we can expect some more Splinter Cell's movies from you.

I am by far probably one of THE biggest Splinter Cell fans EVER (if not in fandom, then in sheer size alone, lmao), and I think you guys did good. The shot in the foot (at 1:08) while possible, is not probable. It also would not give him an execute ability in the game. Maybe have Sam scale the railing to pull the guy over the ledge (hand 2 hand kill) then while hanging from the ledge, 1-hand execute the rest. I have more, so let me know if you want it.
