Why can't you criticizers just shut up and enjoy the film as it is. You guys have no idea how much effort goes into making something like this. It's not a Christopher Nolan production. This is a "non-profit fanfilm" made by true fans "out of their love and appreciation" of the franchise. And they've done pretty badass job. Shared the film on our website. Atomic Productions keep up the good work and make some more.

At first I was bummed to find the actor playing Sam was so young, then I saw Lambert and it made sense, a very cool origin of Sam Fisher. At times I forgot it was not from Hollywood.

TheTaff512, the field runner was Vernon Wilkes Jr., who is actually six years younger than Irving Lambert. Our Vernon Wilkes here is his father, Vernon Wilkes Sr, who we wrote to be the Station Chief of his division, and the superior of a young Lambert. The initial recruiter for Sam Fisher himself. It would, in this revisionist history, then only be fitting and make sense for Lambert to later become a head of an espionage team and have Wilkes' son, Vernon Jr, attached in some capacity, would it not?

Wow!! You really love your Splinter Cell lore. Good good. Might I ask, how would you'll rank the games?
@ben3308
@ben3308 8 жыл бұрын
The original trilogy works as such a succinct franchise, but the latter games are pretty solid also. Conviction and Double Agent feel like companion pieces to the first 3 games, and Blacklist more of a 'reboot', but certainly Blacklist still tries to follow the general style and story of it's predecessors- which makes them two sets of 'trilogies', we'd say. The whole style and genre of stealth-meets-COD gameplay makes the whole series so unique. Our ranking would likely be: Chaos Theory Double Agent Splinter Cell Conviction Blacklist Pandora Tomorrow Though from a story standpoint, Double Agent is likely the most-superior entry. Killing off Lambert in such gripping dramatic fashion makes it the most memorable by huge margins.

This is really good screen quality. Wouldn't mind paying some bucks on kickstarter if it really meant that you could get the licence to produce a full movie. It really felt like the original Splinter Cell but then in a movie adaption. Many movies don't capture the reality from the games, they make a poor copy with a lot of bangs and explosions to keep the people happy. This is actually fantastic footage, nothing but loves for those that made it. If you cut some scenes from this one and made it into some sort of trailer, I would certainly want to watch it for sure. This is how movie adaptions of games should be, seriously.

That was really cool! The interview scene was done fantastically. Though the action bits were a bit cheap looking. It didn't even make sense for Fisher to be hiding up in the ceiling in that one part. I agree with the criticism Erik Brandt provided below.

I know you posted this 6 years ago, but as a fan of your channel Nick930, your comment hit me the wrong way. This video had the production quality higher than 99.99% of KZbin content creators today. Being a fan made live-action rendition of a series that will probably never see another sequel, this was an A+ for me.

Top production but bad fiction, Sam Fisher doesn't brawl. He is not a silent assassin with a dull appearance. He is a family man who lost his daughter many years, a little humorous and passionate characteristic. Highly skilled and trained professional agent.

It is not. During first three parts of the game his daughter alive. And Lambert too. Only in Double Agend his dughter died (it showed it cutscene in the beginning) and Lambert killed by Fisher (this is in the end of game: you can choose to kill or not to kill, but Convictions says thet he killed Lambert). But why Pentagon?! Headquarters on NSA in not in Pentagon! It placed in Fort Meade...

Kirill Stanchik Our setting is at the Pentagon as this is a prequel/origin story, and the setting you're seeing in his initial interview/interrogation after his team with the SEALs and training for the CIA, but prior to his work with the NSA. That's why we reference "the farm", the CIA training facility, but never the NSA or Third Echelon itself. We're in the early days here, with a sort of reimagined history. That's why Lambert is still just a young assistant in a government office, Vernon Wilkes Jr. (Sam Fisher's armorer) is still a kid, Vernon Wilkes Sr., his father, is the one interrogating, and Sam himself is 26. Just a fun way to recontextualize the whole saga without negating or interfering with the legacy left by the first three games.

Ya'll did an excellent job on this, regardless of minor differences of the game in Sam's age or his command contacts. Cinematography and lighting terrific look! Acting was great as in the game...there typically isnt a lot of dialog among the targets. Most of the focus is on Sam's stealth and sentry removal skills. I'm the biggest Cell fan in the world ( have a poster of lambert in my bedroom) and i take qualms with a few things here: - Fisher did not whisper "hey over here" which is very out of character for him, as well as no signature "Whistle" -No mention of Argus - Lambert too young - Sam Fisher should be played by Andrew Garfield -Cop should be Woody Harrelson - Terrorist should speak in bad russian accent with ambiguous south american descent - Not enough French people - No fish or water tanks, no mention of a Chaos Theory - no point in movie where he does becomes a Midget by shooting a sticky cam on the floor and then dropping another on top of it - no oprhanage ghost - Action scenes should be filmed with CamNet - No rainbow six operator, his name is 0 in rainbow six Debriefing , god damnit fisher, you tried to sell out tickeets during a pandemic! We're EVACing you out of here now. Mission over. Lambert

Indeed this franchise needs more love now than ever (and would be in a perfect timing because of the soon animated serie that hopefully Netflix will give us and the so rumored news about Ubisoft doing a new Splinter Cell videogame, I think 2022 will be the year for Splinter Cell... Dug this. Cool seeing a young Sam. Nice little short to the point intro. Title is a great lead to 3rd and s.c. operatives. Good character drops. Would love to see a more established krav maga hand to hand. I enjoyed showing Sam in a fight for Once since it does happen in the books.love the armaments used. Nice eye for detail and keeping close to a fisher-ish character on what seems prequel! Enjoyable for someone finally attempting this even before a theatrical release. Filming quality and realization are very good, shadows and lightings are great and music is excellent. I appreciate the part in the Pentagon office, dialogues are good. But the part with the bad guys, I didn't like it. Their moves and dialogues could have been improved because they look like amators. Why do they split to be each guard alone? Why don't they speak to each other? It would added more realism and professionalism from them. And I was expecting more pure stealth moments (rather than stealth-action) but that's my own opinion. However this movie is overall good, I wasn't expecting such a good quality so I'm positively impressed. But I had the impression to watch a big trailer announcing a coming movie rather than a fan-film. Besides it was too short and there was only two filming locations...so I'm waiting for the second episode. ;) Good work guys ! PS: Will it be possible to have the subtitles (for non-english speakers) ? Thanks.

***** Sorry you didn't get what you wanted. These types of works take an enormous amount of time, money, and dedication to complete by a huge number of very talented volunteers and collaborators on our team- so even when it's "only" a short film, keep in-mind numerous people still worked very hard to make each and every second of that short something special. The best anyone can do is present material in a way so that its exciting and engaging and has enough steam to find an audience. That's just part of marketing and adequately presenting something you work on. And we put out a 30-second trailer for a 9 minute movie. Not a 2 minute one for a 7 minute movie. But who's counting. ;)
@LuckyBide
@LuckyBide 10 жыл бұрын
Atomic Productions Thanks for answering. We know that each second of video requests a lot of work and you did there a good work. However I have the feeling (and that's my opinion) that I've only seen a big trailer calling for a sequel. Not a bad thing of course but it leaves us a little bit hungry (if you know what I mean ^^)
@ben3308
@ben3308 10 жыл бұрын
Lucky Bide Certainly. And we'd love to make more. Just takes a fairly large chunk of money and time to create for a project done entirely out of passion and for the love of source material we can't profit off of ourselves. The hope is that this short engages people and gets them excited for what there could be. Is it a bit of a tease? Certainly. But wouldn't a half-hour SC short feel like a tease for an hour-long project? Or a hour-long project feel like a tease for a feature film? Ultimately everyone wants the same thing we do in the backs of their minds- a big-budget, Hollywood-produced Splinter Cell feature film. Anything less than that, we've always known, is ALWAYS going to disappoint someone or some fan in SOME way. Best we can do is try to make cool stuff in the Sam Fisher world and still hope some people can enjoy it!

It got EMF, AMC, Sonar and enhanced Heat & night Vision waaay later. Since I see you guys are hinting at Sams 'early' SC career. Please don't use the later ones... Yet ofcourse. Do keep in mind that Sam was 47 years old when he was selected to 'train' for the newly set up Third Echelon. He (the actor) doesnt look 47, but I can ignore the age difference since Ubisoft also clearly does that. You guys rock! What actually happened to the movie that was hinted at (teaser) in 2005 in the Chaos Theory game and hinted again during the making of Blacklist?

Nikolay Gorski? Is it a reference to Niko and Sam from Corridor Digital?
@ben3308
@ben3308 10 жыл бұрын
That it is, haha yes. Sam and Niko are old friends from over a decade ago. 9 years ago, when we made our first much smaller and more amateur SC fanfilm, we named our villain after them as somewhat of an in-joke. Amazed someone actually caught it and recognized the reference here, actually.

If you're gonna shoot someone with a silencer, why throw a flashbang and then jump kick them first while they're shooting and screaming. Just shoot them to begin with lol, no noise, save some time and effort. Also, don't ever throw a punch with your thumb sticking out like that, good way to break your thumb.

Because it's cool?

@dt7197 10 жыл бұрын
So...you're saying cool trumps completely stupid? You know you can be cool and smart. You don't have to be one or the other. That scene should have taken place after he's been spotted somehow, alarms sre going off and there are more people so the grenade would actually be useful and make sense etc.

Daniel Tiffany Well it's an action movie that's suppose to be "cool" with bunch of nice fighting scenes that isn't realistic.

+Daniel Tiffany If you know more people, or want to act in the sequel to be one of these hypothetical crowds of people purely there to give greater meaning to the logistics of throwing a grenade- you're more than welcome to come visit us. Sometimes the difference in having something onscreen look both 'cool and smart' is also understanding the balance of 'cool and smart' filmmaking. Or rather, 'cool and practical'. Sometimes what seems logical or smart isn't always practical or achievable once you're on-set. Instead- sometimes you just go for what's cool and hope people forgive you.

Currently replaying through Chaos Theory. I never fire a bullet, or kill anyone, so I thought it was weird that he broke a dude's neck, shot a guy in the head, and ran straight at one, too. Still enjoyed this, though!!! :)
