I noticed that Sin always does the Devil deal boss when he's playing Greed mode even if he's already been in the devil deal room. At first I thought it was force of habit but now I think he's actually forgotten that you can just leave the floor after the normal boss wave.

28:40 I think getting used to ocular rift, isaac's heart or even extreme cases like cursed eye or curse of the tower is a lot like getting used to montezuma's revenge. Montezuma's revenge obviously isn't going to directly cause you damage, but you do need to get close to use it effectively and you could always trip up and get damaged by the enemy when you otherwise wouldn't have.

I think a big difference is that using Montezuma's Revenge is optional even after you take the item, whereas Ocular Rift and Isaac's Heart will always be active after you take them no matter what. So you can take Montezuma's and decide not to use it, but if you want to not use one of the others, you just don't take it.

I can definitely understand not being a risk of rain 2 fan because really I just don’t think putting in the time is worth it. You have to play enough to know the game pretty well before you start completing runs, and it’s just not beginner friendly in my opinion. I was a big fan of the first game because I could actually finish a run and if I lost it was my skill issue (dying at the last stage of a risk of rain 2 run is not a skill issue, it just gets unfair if you don’t try to get there quickly). I’m glad they made Risk of Rain Returns because it’s just better risk of rain 1. The quality of life improvements and stuff really make it fun. The first game was great because you could manage the hordes of enemies easier. You had a good idea of where to go and knew a lot about your surroundings. While platformer rogue likes are not my type, it’s up there with some of my favourite rogue likes.

SATURDAY SUMMARY TODAY!!! "Super Easy - Peasy run there!" Really solid start yet again with the stats. We would have had a mediocre tear rate but we spawned directly next to an item room containing Tractor Beam, which immediately put us in a good spot. Spawning with the Mulligan and Crack the Sky is fantastic, and that active item stuck with us for the whole run. Honestly most of the early-mid game items were nothing fancy, but we did pick up Spirit of the Night and Dead Onion. We've seen the combination of piercing and spectral tears absolutely carry our runs before, and it sure happened again today. Right at the very end of the run we managed to squeeze in a Guppy transformation, and we were strong enough that Mr. Victa felt comfortable picking up Ocular Rift - one of my favorite "funny items." Taking funny items like that is a clear indication that this run is a 7 on Jasonator53's Repentance Eden Run Dunk Rating. One thing I wanted to note on today's commentary. I remember watching Sinvicta's daily Eden Runs back in the days of Afterbirth+, SEVERAL years ago now, and I remember him saying something along the lines of "when your only goal in the game is to win, you adopt a different playstyle free of unnecessary risk." At the time I was a pill taker, I was a blind item taker, and I wasn't winning most of my games. I didn't like Mr. Victa's playstyle at first, but I realized there's a reason the Win Streak is at 744 as of today. His Afterbirth+ win streak had a similar count at the time as well. He has significantly changed the way I play this game for the better, and I think that's awesome. BUT ENOUGH ON THAT IT'S TIME FOR YOUR WEEKLY SATURDAY SUMMARY!!! Sunday: SUPER SUNDAY! - No Eden Run, N/A Monday: SECRETLY GOATED TRINKET?? - Glyph of Balance + Crown of Light on floor one, The Wafer, Bird's Eye, Ghost Pepper - 7 Tuesday: METRONOME IS GODLIKE - Metronome goes crazy, PhD, Sinus Infection, Gello - 7 Second run: Death's Certificate, Binge Eater, Binge Eater, Binge Eater - 9 Wednesday: LOVE IS IN THE AIR! - No Eden Run, N/A Thursday: MILKSTONE - Brimstone, Almond Milk, Money = Power, Victory lap into PhD, A Lump of Coal, Psy Fly, Mega Satan Kill - 9 Friday: DOUBLE SISSY! - Keeper's Sack, Spirit of the Night, Death's Touch, Sissy, Victory Lap into Mutant Spider, The Wafer, Guppy, Sissy - 9 Saturday: see above - 7 The average of all runs this week is an ABSOLUTELY INSANE 8.00. Lump of Coal increases damage based on DISTANCE traveled, NOT TIME. High shot speed = more distance in less time = more damage if the enemy is approaching and less if they’re walking away. More importantly, higher shot speed helps make sure further shots connect more reliably. Sorry for the rant, this just feels like the zillionth time Sinvicta stated that misconception and I finally broke down to comment on it

I felt so sad when he said bag of crafting was bag of bad. Turning pickups into item pedestals is so powerful. Make sure its in the secret room and a single dice shard turns your unused red hearts and pills into death certificate. The rig is never over.

Luck only affects special tear effects and room clear rewards. More luck = higher chance for chest drops, lower luck = lower chance for any drops.

For general knowledge, even in normal greed you don't get extra coins if you kill a wave fast enough. I don't know if that was the case before repentance, but now that doesn't exist.

Worst champion boss by far is red Rag Man. He's already really tanky and annoying enough as it is, and his healing is already rediculous, so just having him heal more often while you are having to deal with more of his spiders makes his fight grueling for one that can show up on the very first floor
