Good lesson and video to reference.... My splits are touched so seldom that the information doesn’t stay in my head between those touches :-) Thanks for giving a place to refer back to when needed.

Your speaking voice spans so many octaves. I'm glad you had the tuner on. It gave me more insight into the musicality os the spoken English language.

Great information. Neither of my all pull guitars (1973 MSA &1990 Mullen) have the split stops and I just assumed them to be gimmicky, but you explained it really well. Thank you!

Good explanation, buddy. I think I finally get what you've been telling me. I'll test my true comprehension on my Zum or Ritt. Thanks!

Thank you so much for explaining tuning of the splits. I’ve owner a Derby U12 for 25 years and never understood the directions that came with my guitar for tuning splits. I frequently thought I would have to add a mechanical half stop to my 6th string lower. Using your directions, tuning worked fine. I now have several additional splits I can tune. You mentioned in your video that you use some the split screws for half stops. Could you explain how this is done? Thanks again for all the new opportunities.

Thanks Mickey. Know I know why by the time the second and ninth are tuned, and I had problem getting them that way, my knee lever is killing my leg. Lol. I have been looking at it trying to figure it out.

@@jonathanfrieze8497 I’ve actually fixed the problem I was having! I plan to make a video on it to show and explain the situation. Anyhow I hope I can explain it here.. I was looking to raise my E to F# the six holes in the changes I slide the rod into the top level third hole and the pulley I placed in the last hook. With tightening the springs a little and adjusting the lever stop I was able to get the proper tension to get what I needed.

Mickey can you give me some guidance.... What does the split screw on string 9 do since we dont raise 9? I assume it affects string 2 somehow
@Singlpilot
@Singlpilot 5 жыл бұрын
the position of hex 9 determines the tuning of the halfstop feel..The only way for this to work is if the 9th string has lots of travel ...stop strin 9 at C# with the split screw..but continue using hex 9 t tune 2 at the stop
