The game did have an insane resurgence of players. It became extremely popular for a bit. I think the main reason why it died again though is because there just wasn’t enough interesting live service content to keep most people playing. And also the skill gap with the portals was so insane that once the sweats mastered it the beginners and intermediate players had a horrible time.

I really enjoyed the first game, but I would've preferred if the abilities were like equipment in Halo. Maybe it could've been so that picking a faction means that weapons and abilities from that faction spawns in the respective team's half of the map. If a team has Sabrask, that will make the spawners on their half spawn Sabrask items. But if a team only Aeros, it'll make the spawners give Aeros items only. Of course, the opponents could cross to the enemies' half and grab those too. Factions with abilities means that this game will be clashing with numerous other similar games currently in the market. Marco's channel has many videos about a lot of those games.

From what I see my only area of concern is how much you can bunker up and how often you won't take a gunfight without an ability being involved but balance on cooldowns fixes that easy and everything else looks amazing

This is the first big multiplayer sequel to actually make sense. Games like overwatch and CS:GO did not need the 2 and did it purely for hype. This looks like a brand new game andhopefully one tat can maintain the hype and hopefully create a decent esports scene

It sounds good, I will play it when it comes out but I do have a fear that comes with the need for a scan ability I loved the first game because it was fast and it made you feel fast, zipping around, basically flying. But with the need for a scan ability I'm scared it might be a little bit slow

Kinda wish they allowed full ADS for all weapons in the sequel. The soft ADS throws me off in any game, makes me think im still hip firing

These types of games are better off without aim down sights, there's so much verticality that many players new to splitgate might be confused why they can't hit their shots when they need to not be ads when in a fight in close range, hence why long range weapons have ADS and short range ones dont
