​@@monad_tcp In the current context I'd assume the extending legs that large crane operated vehicles use for a bigger on ground surface area, makes them more stable, able to carry heavier loads on larger angles.

Instead of charging money for the Cosmic coffee and Clang cola you could charge in components like 5 motors for a Cosmic coffee and 6 computers for a Clang cola. Just an idea but it feels like fits with the scrap and bartering feeling you have going on.

I've actually started leaving an exposed merge block on my vehicles so that I can easily attach small batteries when I need to jump start them, and I keep 3-5 small batteries already on merge blocks plugged into the base mains power and recharging for that specific task.

This bar is not Capac-safe. Shortly after the man walks in, that bar will explode. Just as much as it needs a fire extinguisher, It needs an emergency sandwich. At least it should say: "Sandwich - sold out, blame the bots" Maybe that will prevent a Capac class event happening here.

For the main rotor on the crane, I found it helpful to put a lock rotor on the hot bar to keep heavy loads from shifting when moving them back to base.

If you build outriggers, you could include them in the crane unpack automation. No extra setup time and the extra stability will let you elevate the level of risk when doing janky lifts.

I still thinking you should have called that the vulture. It's a flying scrapping ship with large curved 'wings'. Vulture fits that perfectly, even if the colors are a little off, but that's an easy fix.

I like the bar. Personally I would probably have place a couple of the plushies on top of the arc leading into the beer garden, just to add a little color splash and breaking up the line.

If you drop the skids on the nugget down just a bit you might be able to build a little tray between them and add some mag plates to anchor small scrap

Sat in the beer garden chilling out as you hear a loud noise approaching. You look up and see Splitsie flying in with the Nugget. "Hold on to your hats and beers lads. Here he comes!". Chaos as everything gets blown away from the thrusters. "Darn you Splitsie, next time build the beer garden away from the ladding pad!". (Love the build Splitsie. Looks ace!)

You should make 1 or 2 of the big thrusters on the flyer a different color or more beat up to add to the scrap built effect. If the Truss Pillar Diagonal was also available in small grid you could use them for bracing from the battery to the horizontal truss you used for the big thrusters. You could set some of the garden lights to blink. You could use different times so they look more random.

You have made an annoying day better. Earlier today, I managed to leave my phone on the tool box mounted in the bed of my friend's pickup. When it fell, we both heard it, but I assumed it was a piece of trash and didn't suggest stopping. You accidentally bombing your base feels exactly as dumb as me forgetting, then ignoring, my phone. For you bar, make a bartender that’s connected by a rotor with some rotor arms that use turret controllers idle movement to move. You can also use a timer block to turn on and off player targeting to make it ‘look’ at players every now and again.

'Head' = Chicken Nugget; extra thrust w/ landing gear & mag plates = Hot wing; land based rover w/ connector = Rotisserie. I still think repurposing the truck/trailer by removing the cab/seat and adding additional batteries to recharge the 'Hot Wing & Nugget' to lift items onto the mag plate bed; or, just add the connector the the back of the truck bed and keep things mostly like they are.

You can probably put more power in the aircraft if you can find more large thruster and put them kinda in the middle of the rear wings supports, so you can move faster.

Just an idea, when you remodel the crane/trailer combo, have the "Nugget" be the cab, attached with the merge block, similar to how Shadow is using the bubble in RVls at War. less having to jump in and out of cockpits.

I love the lights on the nugget, especially the navigation lights. Might I recommend placing more navigation lights on the bottom of the ship so that it is easier to see which way it is facing when it is in the sky (and you are on the ground). Love this series so far :Þ

You could more the turning thrusters too the arms of the lifting thrusters. This would open up the top of the cab so the arms arent the only point of connection to those very rare thrusters.

i think something that would work great on the nugget is when you get more thrusters to put them on the trusses that connect the thrusters so it has more control when moving heavy items, as having only 4 small ones seems like a limitation

You know what I think would actually be the best upgrade for your crane? A piston on the very end of it. There's so many times when you get your crane positioning so close to correct and if you could just extend the very tip of it out a bit you'd be able to connect to what you want, then retract a little. Or like when you're placing something down sometimes you need to manipulate both of your piston sections simultaneously (and as far as I can tell you don't have that ability) but having a piston on the very end of your crane would make it so you could just move the item in a straight fashion (albeit a short distance). Idk, that's just something that to me seems super useful.

Another suggestion (I'm onto the part of the video where you're working on the flyer again. Could you use the Curved sorta L Shaped Truss Pillar to connect the upward thrusters? I'd place the base of the L on top of your center piece (cockpit/directional thruster area) and put the top side outward where the upward thrusters are now. You could raise the upward thrusters a block or two if needed for clearance of the direction thruster burns. Your Upward thrusters are sort of mounted like Dragonfly wings now, and I'm thinking more of like a Vulture wing look.

Looking at the nugget, to me it feels like it needs a tail to balance out the front/top heavy nature. Maybe a possible extension when more engines are salvaged give it a quad/tri copter skycrane vibe

Maybe you could create a sort of halo that goes over the top of the command module and then you can tie the thrusters to the halo with struts? Might make it look a little more robust without looking too heavy

I actually made a tank rover once, and then designed a power pack that had all the flight mechanics in it so i could jump off moon to the planet, Interesting challenge, havnt played SE for a while now so i cant remember what i called it now, but it worked. Had a through conveyor in the flight pack so you could transfer stuff from a base to the rover.

Oh on the "fridge", or if you just want decorations in general, the cargo crate from decorative blocks 3 can work really well as both a smaller dumpster, or if placed vertically as a sort of fridge too. that's how i've personally used it a couple times and i think it looks neat! it does leave a noticeable gap in the wall so i'm not sure how well it'd fit in the space but i guess it could be worth a shot. just wanted to mention it really cause it's probably one of my favourite blocks for decorating interiors haha. great video anyway, having a lot of fun following along with the series.

I think at this point it would be best to build a large grid rover and have a docking bay for your flyer on it and a large flatbed on which you can carry enormous amounts of scrap.

With the bar lighting, just use RGB red, green and blue… the 4 main colours that you normally see together with the exception of yellows, because the bar is already yellow so probably not needed as a light… just a thought 💭

Yeah... I always set up my hotbars with their ergonomics in mind first and foremost. That's why I always have the most important things on a slot like 4, and avoid different sets of functions being adjacent if possible, particularly if they need to not accidentally be triggered Also I do think the colored lights could work well but maybe with a bit less saturation
