How do you guys have so few views and subscribers?!! It's top stuff, fellas.... and much appreciated :)
@AbdullahSaleem16 жыл бұрын
The reason behind a few views is that it's hard for people to hold a pen and paper in their hand and note the points what they understand(a good way of learning and understanding).

NATIONAL SPENDING FACTORS DOESNT COUNTS SPENDING OF PEOPLE SO WHY DO WE COUNT IT IN GDP WHICH IS SUM OF INCOMES
@mrturnables15 жыл бұрын
@@umairayyaz6981 Because all monies spent on finished goods is eventually received by someone; who spends it again on finished goods, which is again received by someone etc. So you can measure GDI from the perspective of those receiving the money or GDP from the perspective of sales of finished goods (i.e. those spending)

@1:39 If imports are NOT a factor of GDP (as mentioned in earlier video) then why does it diminish the Export factor (which IS a factor of GDP)?
@bobzsq9 жыл бұрын
You should have some videos about how different countries measure GDP......like SNA1993(which China uses) , SNA2008(US) and ESA2010(EU).

I don't think that a fall in government spending would necessarily affect GDP because government funds come from taxes and borrowed money which originated from private consumption and investment.
@retak41106 жыл бұрын
If the fall in government spending is not accompanied by a fall in taxation then it does affect GDP
@mrturnables15 жыл бұрын
First of all, government spending never affects GDP. Government purchases does. If that is what you meant though, it does! GDP measures the value of finished goods, not the amount of money in a country. When government make purchases, they are still buying new goods/services!

In the equation GDP = C+I+G+(X-M), does investment 'I' includes inflow of Foriegn direct investment (FDI) ? Does investment 'I' includes spending by domestic businesses only? Does investment 'I' includes spending by foreign businesses in the form of Foreign direct investment (FDI) ?

There is a new Facebook group that is great for getting answers to these sorts of econ questions. The good folks from MRU are there as well as a ton of other teachers, professors, etc. Do you mind posting your question there? Ask for access and we'll get you added. facebook.com/groups/368132746912810/ -Roman

Thomas Edgerley they don't, same reason why government transfers don't count, as explained in the video

May I ask you a question? When I as a consumer buy a car than is it counted to consumption, but when I as an entrepreneur buy a car to my company, than is it counted to investments?

So GDP is "produced goods and services" or "produced and sold goods and services"? what if tanks and pens are produced in the country and government has not yet bought them?
@snehamirchandani11092 жыл бұрын
dude that goes in the stock or inventory investment and it is still counted as produced, the year it is sold it gets counted in the consumption part
