Почти все люди углубления в камне под перья и клинья называют отверстиями ! Хотя и понимают что это углубление, а не сквозное отверстие !Из Сибири с уважением, Владимир . Мой город Nizhnevartovsk .

How do you determine when to use feathers and wedges, versus the method you used here, versus just scoring and tracing?

The biggest factor is the size of the stone and how I want the the end product to look like. If I don’t mind drilling marks/holes then feather and wedges is by far the fastest. But If I don’t want drill marks I look to other techniques such as this one. 👍 Thanks for your question and comment.
