Great tutorial. I own the smart bundle but have only started to use it. Thanks for the in depth demo!!

Really like the order in which you approach this plugin: the EQ before the Smart, gave me an insight I had not thought of and have now changed my settings accordingly and using it more effectively, cheers :)

That's really great to hear! Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for the video.

Bought this a few days ago. I'm quite blown away by the success rate of the detection process, paired with the split feature and dynamics. Very, very useful tool. BTW, ditto for the smart limiter plugin.

AI is great. Even with autotune being a thing, I get booked constantly to record, edit and tune vocals with melodyne, as I work patiently with every phrase of the recording. Stuff like this will work great as another tool in our tool box.

I prefer the term "supplement" to "replace". I think that is the actual purpose of AI plugins anyway. That is a funky jam by the way.

How does it work by only analysing 10 secs of audio, it’s not possible
@SPLMixing2 жыл бұрын
You need to analyse an appropriate sample that is representative of the majority of the track. It's a very clever plugin drawing from loads of data and training.

I just upgraded from 2 to 3. Low latency en cpu usage indeed. About AI ? All Scfi-movies show the way (like Star Trek and the Holo deck :-)) AI will in time replace men ! Great video made by a human 🙂

I can't even use this. I use WaveLab 11 and everytime I open it doesn't respond at all. I tried uninstalling WL and re-installing I tried the same thing with smart Eq. For some reason WL doesn't respond. I had to completely wipe my computer out and re-install everything. I won't re-install this until I figure out what the root cause is. Maybe it's that stupid iLok software that has to be downloaded in order to use it, I don't know.

I'm not familiar enough with WaveLab to dish out any advice, but I can stand by Sonible in terms of quality. I suspect it's some combination of things causing this. You could reach out to Sonible support if you're not able to solve it.

Engineers maybe don't want to hear this, but the general public simply doesn't care what "behind the scenes" stuff is not done by humans. We learned that almost 20 years ago with autotune. The human is still there, and people still like that person and their style/image, even if a machine is correcting the notes. People simply will not care if their favorite bands are using drum samples to replace the part that the drummer wrote anyway. They won't care if an AI mixed the instruments after the band wrote the parts and played them (in several takes). It's like freaking out because a great story you're reading uses a font you've seen before, or complaining that a singer is using a microphone instead of screaming to fill the room with his voice.

EXACTLY. THEY DONT GIVE A SHIT. ITS ABOUT THE MUSIC. WHAT MOVES THEM.

As long is it translates well across different mediums as in mobile devices. car, hi fi systems etc then all is good.

AI can probably replace nearly all EDM beat music producers; that's my prediction.

soon it'll create most pop music. it uses an audible algorythm.

You sound like the old guys who were mocking Elvis in the early days. That said, this EQ will probably liberate those EDM guys so they can focus on creativity ;-)
@johnthecreative3 жыл бұрын
@@Fox_is_Fox Difference is they don't have AI that can sing like Elvis but they do have AI that can write EDM music. I hope they come out with that Elvis plugin though I would love that. Wait nm I just dropped a bag of stuff on the floor and made an EDM song, so that's even easier, and free! Wam bang blam ding splat. Now to make it a loop...

@@Fox_is_Fox EDM has been around and popular since I was a kid. I used to like it when I was in junior high, decades ago, but now it's lost its shine and polish IMO

oh no autogain?
@mrnelsonius56313 жыл бұрын
Do most EQ plugins have auto-gain? In years going this I’ve never used an EQ to boost/cut a signal enough to need one, it’s not like a compressor or saturator etc
@SPLMixing3 жыл бұрын
Personal preference, I suppose. In the interest of making workflow faster it seems like a natural extension of what Smart eq 3 already is doing.

@@SPLMixing Autogain (as an option) is the only thing i really miss with this update (comparing to one of the best EQ - Fabfilter PRO Q3).
