Another great review. Given the issues known to the dagger / micro dagger, I’d take the Stoeger.

Another good video.👍 I bought a Dagger on last years Labor Day sale... Got a green frame and stainless slide separately... With shipping it only cost me $228 and I am very happy with it... I did not like the hinged trigger so I swapped it for a standard Glock 19 trigger and now it is great.

Not a fan of hinged triggers. Glad to hear that you swapped it out with the Glock trigger, and that it runs well. 👍

I regret selling my STR-9. Shouldn't have done that.
@leelytle80498 ай бұрын
Nice review. I'm a big Stoeger fan. I have the STR-9S Combat and the STR-9SC. Freaking love these guns. As stated, the ergos are flipping amazing and the flat triggers on the Combat and the SC is butter smooth. My only problem is lack of aftermarket support. Other than that, guns are great. Also, they all have removable back straps. Also, they all have optic ready models and models that come with more than one mag. Also, mags are universal. I can use my 20rd from my combat in my SC. Anyway. Great review. Cheers!

I enjoyed owning the STR-9SC, but eventually decided to sell it for similar reasons. Additionally, finding magazines for it was challenging, at least during the time I had mine.

I EDC a STR-9c. I call it "my little buddy" LOL. When I first got it I was lucky to find 2 extra mags not long after. I don't remember where I found them, (some website) but it was the last 2 they had so I snagged them both. I'm not against Glocks, they are obviously very good firearms. I've just never held a Glock that fit my hand well. But Stoeger, fits my hand like it was made for it! I did sand the back grips down a little bit on mine, but other than that it fits like no other. Plus, I am most accurate with this gun. Even more so than my Sip SP2022, which is my 2nd most accurate firearm. Anyway, I say all that to say I was in a local gunshop the other day picking up some Fiocchi ammo. They had some on sale. I was checking out the firearms they had in their display, and to my surprise, there was my STR-9c! $299.00! AND, they had the smaller and the standard versions too! I was like, NO WAY! Hopefully they do start making better holsters available for them soon. That's the only thing I don't really have for mine, is a good holster. The one I have is decent, and it works, but... *shrugs*

Definitely looking at that PSA Dagger for sure. The STR-9 gets rave reviews though from what I’ve seen. Good pieces.

str9 is a great gun but the dager takes glocks mags
@thystaff7428 ай бұрын
The drawback on PSA is that you have to order and wait for it to get to a ffl. Many stores already carry a Str9 and gives you the ability to check it out before purchase. Plus you don't have to wait for shipping.

My P365 Rose finish disintegrated from appendix carry but the little Stoeger keeps on chugging
@carlman28428 ай бұрын
Aside from the striker and the locking block, the PSA Dagger can share most spare parts with a Gen 3 Glosk 19.

My str9c (won it in a raffle 😁) is a little squeaky as well, even after lubing the recoil spring assembly. My dagger was actually squeaky too but lubing the recoil spring assembly fixed it. Overall I like my dagger better but only because i was able to fully customize it (copper barrel, ported slide, optic). It’s also nice it is compatible with Glock parts and magazines. However, the trigger is better on the Stoeger. The Stoeger is just lacking in magazine and aftermarket availability. Great comparison, I agree with pretty much everything you said

Why can’t we get those Stoegers in Cali? What makes it unsafe, the price? Lol

I own 5 Daggers .. I never have had a problem .. Big + with a Dagger … is the use of Glock and Glock style mags It is extremely hard to find Stoeger Mags … A semi- automatic pistol, is only as good as the mags are … I think that is the secret of the Taurus G series.. Mecgar mags All my pistols are known for the quality of the mags. Glocks , Daggers ,Taurus G series ,CZ P-10 , XDME , even my AHSS FXS-9 uses CZ 75 mags . Stoeger should have went with CZ , Glock , SIG or even Taurus pattern mags I look at the Stoeger line of pistols as a Taurus alternative.. But due to the inability of Stoeger to produce mags makes Stoeger a hard pass

The cheaper the gun, the more ammo I can buy and the more I can practice. By cheaper I'm also inferring reliable.

I own the exact same dagger, got it for $229 last year on memorial day. No complaints, actually prefer the ergonomics over a glock 19

Would love to see if you can pick up an STR-9MC to compare. Apparently the mags are compatible with the compact and subcompact models.

They both solid. One thing about the Stoeger is that it comes with 1 mag and not much mag availability and holsters. PSA got good deals on the dagger. You can get one on a really good price and get OEM Glock 19 gen 3 internals for a better reliability. Gotta add them Glock mags that you can get almost anywhere

The Stoeger SD 9 damn, for the price with rebate is insane. Im after one just for fun, incredible beater back pack extra 9, dont need to worry about it getting fkt up. Looks kool too.
