Hey Garret, first thing a giraffe on a tiny bike is hilarious.... Also my dad daily'd my first car to his in town job for the 3 years before I got my license. 25 miles to Seward and back every day. By the time I got my car, that I bought with money I earned, it was slam worn out. Its a 67 Cougar, and I got to drive it for less than six months, it was always broken when I got it. I still have it, but haven't driven it since 1987.

The reason for running 6 volts in series is the amps available. More amperage means easier starting longer cranking and longer/more storage. If I remember right from my apprentice days.
