Honestly, due to the extremely lax laws in most of the US regarding modifying a car, it would probably still be legal as long as its unable to be used on the street (capped off, fuel lines DC'd, etc.) and still meets all of the other requirements in the state of Florida.

I've been wondering about that sharing a trailer thing. I thought maybe there was a race team rule or something. I know that wouldn't fly with Drag Week. So really they were being super cool not DQing one or both cars. And that Fairlane is amazing.
