I laughed when you said you’re going to be Tony the Tiger because he was voiced by Thurl Ravenscroft, whom Geoff has referred to as one of his idols.

Geoff arranged this one, so the entire vision is his. (They're about to drop a new medley on T'day - and Geoff arranged it) To me, this one is simply spectacular. It's taken me dozens of hearings to really get a grip on everything that was happening. Glorious! Delighted to see you here and reacting again!

I know you love Geoff’s low voice, but did you notice what he did at about 8:55 in your video? On the line “never shall we die,” he slid up two full octaves on “die,” once again demonstrating at least part of his sick range. On that note, you should check out his solo cover of “Monster Mash.” And for pure unadulterated a cappella brilliance with five-part harmonies and zero beatboxing, check out Home Free’s cover of Dire Straights’ “Brothers in Arms”!
@Aurora-cv5to2 жыл бұрын
That slide into pure rock n' roll cry is magnificent!
@johndeeregreen45922 жыл бұрын
If you listen close, either accidentally or purposeful, Geoff slips from the F2 primary, to an F1 subharmonic for just a fraction of a beat, before soaring to that F4 belt. In reality, he covered three octaves in less than a measure.

I appreciate that reactors have to pause to make comments but I seriously suggest watching it again without pausing, as it the way it builds in intensity throughtout is a positively physical , visceral, experience. It gets right down inside. It's stunning.

I like when reactors watch it first with us and then watch it again and pick the song apart. It just seems the reactors have more in depth things to say.

Glad you're back Scarlet! This by far is one of VP's best. Your reaction and analysis was spot on. I've watched this countless times and I'll probably watch it many more. Geoff has a few of his own productions that have been released recently. You should definitely check those out as well. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

They just keep getting better each video and not by small amounts which is insane. This is one of their best. I love Eli's bit of vocal fry that he's using in this one. They just dropped a medley of songs from 'Wicked' that you'll want to check out.

I would love to see more Pentatonix, Voiceplay and Home Free on your channel. I adored your reaction on this video. I have binge watched just about every reaction there is on KZbin for these amazing groups. I can't wait until you do The Prayer by Pentatonix. It will make you laugh and cry at the same time!!!

@@ScarletKnight Might I suggest you put a KZbin emblem over the video. Blur it out. Put text saying "To avoid copyright" over the video. Please try? Thanks!! Also, do you have a Playlist for them? I always come back and rewatch reactions that way. I appreciate you response as well!!

My hubby got me going on Voice Play and Home Free and the low bass sounds are the addictive hook. Geoff from VP and Tim from HF are some of the best in the world right now. Eli, Cesar and Jose fit together so well. And Layne was awesome as usual.

That overtone flying high in the sky in the end has me in awe every time. I remember my barbershop days, how happy we were those times all four parts managed to lock-and-ring. I was a baritone and will always be partial to the baritones.

This has broken many reactors. Some it left speechless. One, when Geoff sang the first “die,” got so excited he jumped up, totally forgetting he wasn’t wearing pants, and was in his boxers, crying “Oh $&it!” then “I’m in my boxers!” and went to run offscreen (I don’t know why) but forgot to take his headphones off. Then he tried to convince people he was in his swimsuit (no one believed him). It was quite hilarious.

This was filmed at Pattycake Productions (owned by Layne and their former baritone Tony.). They usually have a number of tall skeletons on hand. In fact, there are several in their new episode of Villain’s Lair, which will be released soon. You might want to consider listening to it. It features an original song by Layne and Tony.
