no.. she convinced a man to quit his job, move to a foreign country to be with her, and try to find a new job there without a Visa or knowing the language. she purposely told the story to make him sound like a bum when that clearly wasn't the case based on clues she gave of his life back home. he was recently divorced and got convinced by some foreign girl he probably met on a dating site to drop everything to go be with her. she was content with having a stay at home boyfriend until she got pregnant and realized it wouldn't be sustainable anymore. She knew she was wrong and should've moved to his country since she speaks English and could've found work. So she portrayed him as a scumbag online to get others to convince her she deserves better, then she could have the confidence to abandon him in a foreign country she convinced him to come to where he has no connections or way home.

Don't let your parents (or anyone else) ruin a good relationship. My mom and step-dad made a snap judgement about my husband with literally no information. My step dad met him for 5 min and decided he was a "dolt", and I don't remember if my mom met him at all except when he had to call her to say I'd been arrested (which was my fault, not his). They never accepted him, never even acknowledged that we were married, not just dating or living together (unlike the two of them, btw, who never did get married). Nobody thought we would last, but here we are, 24 years later. We outlasted both his and my parents, who both got divorced when we were small.

One nitpick on the second story. There's nothing that says she'll have to stop working when the baby comes. Women did work and had babies for thousands of years before maternity leave existed. It's a nice thing, but let's not act like a new mother is an invalid. There are plenty of reasons the guy should work. Really, she should never have moved in with someone who was unemployed and knew for less than a year. All that "romantic" BS got into her head because movies say that's what it should be like. I find it hard to believe he couldn't find any job at all. Really? Not even a dishwasher job? The first story: Call me cynical, but I doubt very much that the entitled mother willingly took accountability for her as well as her entitled crotch spawn's behavior. I think that had more to do with the beleaguered, long-suffering father who forced her to own up to what she did. Even worse, he's the one who literally paid for all of the consequences of her actions. I don't care at all what their excuses are. Being stressed or whatever is no reason to get up in the face of a complete stranger and damage their property. This kid sounds like he is spoiled by the mother but disciplined by the father. I also would not be surprised at all if they end up getting a divorce. stuff that i am petty asf, i would've sued her to oblivion in small claims court and than used the security footage and gotten witnesses to testify on my behalf, i would've also been recording the Karen secretly so i could use it as evidence and make sure they would pay for emotional damages, the full cost of repairs of the laptop and made sure they regretted their entitlement and given them a huge dose of reality and made them snap awake.
