It hurts how bad the production values still are this season. Tiny (not fit for purpose) sound stage aside, the set design itself is amateur hour. Worst workroom set on any version of Drag Race (nvm what was expected to be a sister show to UK and US). No brick pattern (iconic feature of Drag Race production design) or indeed any pattern on the walls, just flat paint...looks like the inside of a Polly Pocket doll house. Barely visible checkerboard shading on the main stage (another iconic feature of Drag Race). Obvious the art directors are way out of their depth. Lighting is better than season 1 but still not up to scratch for an international show. So weird that DWTS NZ, a show only seen by a domestic audience, filmed a couple months after this on a big sound stage with top notch production values...yet Drag Race Down Under, an internationally distributed show, is essentially filmed in a garage with a studio lighting grid. Way to bring the NZ TV industry into disrepute.
