(Spoilers) Black Fate Story - Arcaea

So is Hikari actually the “villain” or the chaotic of these two girls? I thought so since I first started playing and reading the story. It’s the typical reverse character plot, whereas the “dark” and “sad” character (who remembers everything) is trying to avoid the inevitable destruction of the world by the “good” and “bright” character (who remembers nothing). Not surprised, but still a welcome update.

Personally, I believe that both Hikari and Tairitsu can be considered the good guys/villains depending on your viewpoint. Ever since I started playing the game, I always had the impression that Hikari was “good” due to the fact that all she followed was the “light” and happiness and just wanted to befriend Tairitsu, whereas Tairitsu followed the “darkness” and just had a rather conflicting side to her which gave me the “villain” vibe. But since this update, it appears as though Hikari might actually be the villain if you look closely. Nonetheless, I’m neutral towards the two, but thank you for sharing your input. =)

Joel Tobar Of course. I believe that most of it from the start, Hikari is, in a way, absolutely infatuated with the glass shards (Arcaea), and sees nothing but mere beauty and happiness in these memories that she views in the glass, to where she believes that all the glass in Arcaea is filled with light and happiness. Tairitsu on the other hand, clearly doesn’t see that, and believes that the Arcaea are nothing but grim and dark. So from what I saw in this recent update, it appears that Hikari is trying to show (or force) Tairitsu to see the Arcaea as being “good” and “happy”, rather than “dark” and “sad”. Thus, that’s probably why Tairitsu wanted to kill Hikari, because she had different views on the Arcaea, and refused to believe that they were “happy” and “light” like Hikari said. Hope this clears things up again! =)

ok, so I have some theories... you know when your done reading a story from Arcaea? it always says at the end "To be continued." but this time there was none of that... I got kinda scared because I love the game, plot, music, graphics, art, and visuals. it seemed to me that in the song "#1f1e33" had a very conflicting vibe...but it was different, more like if light and conflict were fighting. and usually, that doesn't happen, I'm not saying it didn't happen before like for example "Fracture ray" it had a very "light and conflict" vibe to it, but ever since black fate I knew something new was going to happen. the song "Arcahv" had a very " the world is ending" or "G̸̻̗̩̦̖̼̱̦̓̄͌̑̍͒͛͛́̉̀̾̕͝ơ̵̛̛͙̜͈͖̙̻̦̺̪̏̕o̶̱̺̤̠͙̻̝̞̙̟̽͑̌̆̀̒̆̀̐̄̇̽̓ͅd̶̮̼̱͙͙͎̩͖̲͙͆̀͝b̸̨̻̮̣̠̠̝̈́̏̈̉̏̿͗̚͠͠y̵̧̝̮̱͔̟̬̗̼̹͍̣̍̋́̅͊̑͌̏̀̕͝͝é̴̗̺͓̀͛͛͛͐͒͐̇͊̋̇͋͝.̵̛͖̳̦̠̠̦̂͗͗́̉͆́̽̎̉̎.̵̖͙͍̝͓̩͔͍͇̲͙̞͋̌.̸͔͎͖̫͇̱͕̳̥̻̪̙̈́̃̊̓̏͜ͅ" vibe. A very touching song. So my theories are- -the world of Arcaea is over. -Hikari and Tairitsu fight until one perishes. -Hikari had an anomaly (Arcahv) and was safe from the shard of glass hitting her being able to fight back. -there might be more to the story... we are going to have to wait and see...we have to keep a lookout for updates and stories! :)

Those are some interesting theories! I personally think that all the fighting has been done and over between the two, and that the world will end. I can’t wait for a new song pack/character to come out in the future, though! =)

I honestly wouldn't mind too much if this were the end of Hikari and Tairitsu. The story is setting up an interesting world and I think getting some new main protagonists to explore the world post-collapse would be really interesting.

I think Tairitsu made mistake here. She should just kill Hikari at the first place. Now her vision might be true. Hikari will gain new power from desperation and hopelessness and maybe will kill her :/

I would like to point my thoughts here, but it might be nonsense. (Rip my poor english💦) What IF their eyes' vision represent timeline that happened before the world start to destruct / before their awakened? Like, Hikari shown the past (good/happy life) & Tairitsu's the future (collapsing world). And the one particular shard (the one Tairitsu sees) is actually what Tairitsu needs to act in the future to prevent the evil/destruction. I saw a comment that Hikari is turning evil, a theory that I agreed, go read. Maybe,it's their fate to meet each other they were incarnate to this purpose?? And maybe it could be the reason the difficulty called Past-Present-Future? Nah I got no strong opinion to stand this. It's okey forget it :v Umm, but there's more but I certainly forgot since I need to translate into english so I could share my thoughts :v 👉👈😔 It's okay if I don't agree though. Hello! I know this reply is a few months late, but I’d be happy to summarize the story for you from start to (currently) finish. Both Hikari and Tairitsu are surrounded by the Arcaea when they first find themselves in the ‘World of Arcaea’. On Hikari’s side, when she first sees the Arcaea, it appears to show her blissful memories to the point to where she doesn’t take into consideration that there might be ‘evil’ memories out there, and that all of them are purely good. For Tairitsu, it’s the complete opposite. When she sees the Arcaea, it’s full of horrid, grim, dark memories, and it eventually drive her to the point to where she thought that if she could gather them all, she could destroy them. Eventually this leads the two of them to continue on with their separate journeys with the Arcaea. Tairitsu at one point later on in the story discovers a memory that practically forecasted the end of the world, and after realizing this it sent her into the downwards spiral she was/currently in. As for Hikari, she too almost lost herself like Tairitsu at one point in the story until she saw a red shard that (from what I can remember) showed her why she was originally here; and that is to figure out the world of Arcaea, thus that motivates her to do something about it. Now, there is a part in the story where the two meet…but supposedly both Hikari and Tairitsu behaved as though they’ve never seen each other before since beginning their journeys with the Arcaea, almost as though they were completely different people than before. Afterwards the two began to start conversing with each other, and more specifically, the Arcaea, and their views on it which needless to say, didn’t end to well. From this point onwards; a various amount of fights break out between both Hikari and Tairitsu, but mainly with Tairitsu starting it, and with her main intent to kill Hikari because of her views of the Arcaea, and her know horrendous views of Hikari as well. Depending on if you have all the packs necessary to unlock the secret chapter “???”, it kind of leaves you with a cliffhanger. Originally, many thought it left off with Hikari being killed by Tairitsu, but in the bonus chapter, it’s shown that Hikari isn’t actually dead, but rather, some sort of manifestation of her may/may not unfold, hence the ‘Arcahv’ anomaly song. This is more or less the main story from what I can recall, but anyone can feel free to add corrections 😅.

Also, there are also numerous side stories to other partners and their views on the Arcaea, but at the moment, I don’t plan on purchasing any other songs/packs for recently added side stories. I’m honestly not sure if I’m going to upload the rest, since my phone can only record for so long.

Ralvax You’ll need to purchase the Black Fate song pack if you haven’t already. From there you’ll have to complete songs within the pack using the respective characters (like clearing Equilibrium using Hikari for example). Hope this helps! (P.S. - You’ll also have an additional story entitled vs-??? which you can unlock by finding the second anomaly).
