I'm not rewriting the whole thing sooo yeah here's a condensed version or whatever
Little Keeper of the Lost Cities PMV/Animatic 'cause there's not enough fan-stuff of this book series out there ! Keefe is best boi sad boi
I tried to portray his relationship with his parents/friends the best that I could I hope it's kinda accurate (I'll kill both his parents they're such a-holessss)
This thing took me 2+ months to make but dang I'm glad I managed to finish it ! Sorry if some of the drawings look kinda off or too sketchy I gave up on some parts :")
Probably be doing a Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus animatic next (One of the musical's songs I think) so keep an eye out for that I guess

My heart hurts so much for this boy. Everyone remembers him as the goofy comedic relief but it seems like a lot of people forget he was abused and forgotten and believe all his life that he was worthless and the one shred of light in his life was taken away by his best friend. His hero turned out to be an enemy. His mom was going against him and his friends. He had to fight his own mother to save his friends. He doesn’t know who he is anymore. He’s scared. And now his mother is going on and on about his legacy as he’s trying to help everyone else. He’s broken. He’s trying to be ok. But he can’t. And he doesn’t realize it’s ok to not be ok. And it hurts so much to know that he didn’t get Sophie. I cry for him I know that sounds so stupid but he has such a painful backstory it hurts. He was forgotten as a kid. Literally. This is why he’s my favorite character. Not just because he’s funny or cute or charming. Because he just DESERVES it. He’s risked his life for EVERYONE by going with the enemy and frankly no one really gives him the appreciation he deserves. He’s developed as a character so much. I just can’t. and don’t get me started on the fact that since he’s an empath and can feel Sophie’s emotions without touching her he can literally feel how much she likes Fitz and see the difference between him and Fitz. I just... my poor baby

I THINK that she loves Fitz with her head and Keefe with her heart because when she enhances him, he can feel her heart emotions (I think) and he's always trying to tell her that there's a difference. Besides, when she's talking about Fitz its always "Oh his eyes are so beautiful!" *Cue the barfing* BUT GIRL. LOVE KEEFE ALREADY. Keefe is also my favorite character because he is broken. Lost. This is the best representation of Keefe's real personality. I think a lot of people only think of him as the funny, sassy guy. No one remembers that he has had a very hard life, even his own friends didn't realize that his life was so hard until Sophie came, and started realizing it. And his one chance he had at proving himself to his parents to get #1 in his class, Fitz took that. Keefe only jokes around so that he doesn't have to face reality, but he doesn't realize that its ok to be different, and it is ok to be sad. That doesn't mean you have to weak. I don't usually write comments, but this was so good that I had too. Koray, your work on this was amazing, and I totally think you should do more Keeper of the Lost Cities videos.

Keefe is honestly my favourite character. He’s been through so much and he’s been neglected by his own immediate family. And all he’s trying to do is make everything better for the people around him tries to comfort them and mask the broken boy behind him with humour and jokes. He’s been through more than some people have in an entire lifetime and he’s only 17. He’s had his parents forget about him in Atlantis, found out his mother was with the enemy, dealt with years of verbal abuse from his father and didn’t even get to be with the girl he loved so much. And I don’t blame him at all for trying to double agent the neverseen because he wanted to do something good just once. He’s been so brave and collected the whole series and I really wish I could comfort him somehow. That’s why I cried when I watched this video, realising some people don’t really see the broken shards behind his normal shell. I could never hold myself together through all the heartbreak as well as he can. I don’t know how he does it but I look up to him because of that. I want him so badly to be together with Sophie instead of Fitz. He deserves to be happy. He’s such a selfless person that’s always standing up for her and her friends, and even challengers dimitar to a sparring match and injured his chest just for Sophie. It just be so traumatic for him.I wish he had a caring and supportive family. His mother’s stupid legacy thing is breaking him apart and making him think he’s as useless as her plans, but no. He’s the most handsome character and has the best personality and everyone needs a friend like him in their lives. My heart breaks when I see him try so hard to flirt with Sophie or impress her because he wants them to be happy. He was such an innocent little boy last time right until he started foxfire and his father started insulting him even though he’s an amazing artists.I wish he was real so I could hug him and comfort him and tell him he’s perfect. he’s so talented and brilliant-He deserves more 🤧🥺🤗

I relate to Keefe so much. He puts on his best smile for everyone he loves. And acts so happy. And feels so worthless.. and i.. have to relate. We put on a mask to appease everyone around us, we laugh when we want to cry, we always say “I’m fine” When we’re broken and screaming and dying inside and we cant express it because no one understands or is willing to understand! Ive had my entire childhood ripped from me and i cant to anything about it. I wish i could go back to the day i had my first depressed thought. And give her a hug and tell her to keep her head up (I’m 15 and i started at 11) i wish i could just hold her and tell her she’s beautiful and amazing. The things i cant manage to even tell myself. It hurts to look in the mirror, it hurts to see a body thats been broken and put back together by doctors so many times. And i cant even go to my own family because they don’t understand it at all. I dont want to go to my friends anymore because i feel like a burden. I dont know what to do! I might delete this whole thing. I just wish i could see myself like my friends see me. And every day just grows worse, but i smile and act like I’m okay, i act like the same “happy little maddy” that I’ve always been. Little do they know.. my heart is always broken. They eyes that once sparkled and shone are now dull and sad. The dreams of a small girl, are now gone and destroyed. Ive given up on everything. And it hurts to even get up in the morning, thinking “damn i woke up” Everyday, i keep fighting. I fight for one more day. Tomorrow might be better. Next year might be better. I live in my head. The worlds i created keep me safe. But sometimes thats even dangerous.

1. The animation is so beautiful and sad i'm crying 2. So im a Sokeefe shipper ofc, I don't _hate_ Fitz -(even if I think he's annoying 80% of the time *cough*)- , but I can't imagine Shannon finishing KOTLC with Sophitz. Because first of all _it would be an horrible writing choice_ and second of all Keefe would never tell Sophie he loves her. If he does, it would be because she's with Fitz. Because he doesn't want to hurt Fitz or Sophie, and he would just _smile_ and say a pun or a joke like «Well I guess you'll look at each other in the eyes way often lol» if they are together in public. And Fitz could end up with Linh (yes i ship it). I've seen a lot of people saying that the 7th volume is like a big Sophitz fanfiction. Well, I may not have finished it, I may know that they confess to each other, I still disagree with that. And let's not forget all the times she _blushed_ and felt _butterflies_ because of Keefe, all the times she conforted him and stopped him from doing stupid stuff that would just make him more mentally messed up. He has so many problems, he couldn't handle a rejection. _and I swear i'm about to kill Fitz with his «no i dont wanna see of even think about Alvar >:(» cant you fucking grow up_

It's up to the author's choice of what really happens in the end, but I respect your choice. I'm a Sophitz shipper but we all have different ships. As long as we are Keepers 😁

Gurl i so agree with you. I can't imagine Sophitz becoming a thing because it will tear EVERYTHING apart. Keefe will have nothing and probably fall so far down that he won't ever be able to get back up. I also think Linh and Fitz would be so cute. We obviously know Linh likes fitz and that he has a little bit of a crush on her, we know Tam and binana like each other, and lets not forget about the little baby Dex who i personaly ship with Marella. If Sophizt was a thing Linh wouldn't be okay, Keefe wouldn't be okay and so much would go wrong between everyones friendships. Keefe really deserves her and heres a theory im pretty sure we all have. Sophie tells herself she likes Fitz in her head but she really likes Keefe, just like Dex and Sophie. I'm pretty sure this is what Keefe felt in the end of Lodestar when he got enhanced by her the first time. Sokeefe no happening would kill Keefe and so many friendships.

This is so amazing. I can’t even describe how incredible this is. Not a lot of people understand how Keefe is feeling, but you made this perfectly. The way you used parts from the books is incredible. I cry every time I watch this and I’m not even exaggerating. I could watch this 20 times in a row. I love this so much! You got the moments perfectly, but your art is also amazing. Again, I can’t even describe how good this is! P.S. I use my dad’s account, so I’m not some old guy crying over an animation.
