Despite what people think of French version, this "bored" voice is totally accurate of how Laboratory voices would sound like, and I really loved it as a french person. This accuracy makes the scene more serious and more realistic, so more stressful. XD For example, an exciting voice like English version would totally not fit in our country.

my favorites would be probably: japanese, english and spanish japanese in my opinion is the mos unsettling of all, it's realistic (it feels like a tour) and for a very calm language it has excitement enough for being creepy english being second just because is in general the best dub for the scene, while for me it doesn't feel realistic the incident part is better than the japanese version and has more excitement because the language itself spanish just because it is my main language, listening your own language in a game where you shouldn't gives that creepiness that the dub loses because it feels more like a documentary instead of a tour

While yes, I’d understand while it wouldn’t be as unsettling, Being Hispanic is part of my heritage, and I started learning it a few years ago. Having a semi-broken grasp on the language and then suddenly knowing certain complete sentences kinda… kinda freaked me out.

As someone who lived in Spain for a long while, I personally feel a bit more disconnected with the Spanish dub because of the lack of enthusiasm and the quite young voice (German leans even more into young sounding voice), which, while it adds to the creep factor, it also feels like a amateur recording (dead inside?) for a full fledged tour. Then again, it is not the only one. English feels a quiiite right balance here because it also has voice that sounds a bit raspy, akin to a teacher.

The japanese version is really weird to me because of the inconsistent spacing of the words and inconsistent pitch of the voice. The volume also varies a lot also why does the japanese version start with a question instead of a "welcome"?

as a flemish person (I play games in English instead of my native language, Dutch) i find it interesting they call Elfilis an object instead of a specimen (though we don't really have a good translation for that) it makes these people more villainous, because they don't see elfilis as a living being more like an object they can study, run experiments on and abuse its power

the localisers could've used "organisme" instead of "object" when translating specimen. But some lines sound odd when using "organisme". Oh well, Localising things is hard (and the use of the word "object" is very unsettling as well).

No, as russian nintendo fan as I know, Kirby games was never translated to Russian. Splatoon 3 was released later, but it has official Russian translation. (i am a bit disappointed that Miitopia hasn't russian translation)
