I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years. I realized that I didn't want to live a half-life where I am never truly happy. I have re-learned that I cannot forgive betrayal or infidelity. I think taking the time and learning to be able to depend on yourself is something everyone should do before getting in to a relationship. I had never been in love before either, like really in love. But then my mom passed away and I really had to figure out how to depend on myself and be happy by myself and then it just happened. It happened with someone I had known for years living in another country. We’re now going on 5 years together and I’m still super in love 😊 So keep doing what you’re doing and be happy by yourself and one day.. someone will walk into your life that adds to that. Hey Amber, I just want to remind you and let you know that you are the perfect image of a happy, fun and single woman. I know you are very happy and sometimes you wish you had that relationship type of love and you deserve it and the world but it would hurt me to see somebody hurt you and take that happiness from you. This valentines me and my boyfriend didn’t wanna do anything special, no gifts or anything, we literally ordered pokebowls, sat on the sofa, watched pulp fiction and had mochi icecram and mango as a snack. Could have done that myself as Well and it would have been just as good. I learned to love being alone before getting in a (very good) relationship, and i just feel good regardless og spending time with him or alone. Love is to be celebrated for what it is, not for what you have! ❤️

People always say they're looking for the 'perfect one.' There is no 'perfect one.' No one is perfect. What everyone is searching for is the perfect one for THEM. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and he is FAR from perfect by anyone elses standards. But he's absolutely, deliriously, wonderfully perfect for ME. I told him when we first started dating that I would rather be happy by myself than only content with someone else. So he had his work cut out for him! Words to live by as he's made it his life mission to make sure I'm still thrilled, years later, that I married him. Keep your standards Amber! Do as you do and never settle for less!
