‘Spoilt, petulant brat’: Piers Morgan rips into Megan Rapinoe

Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has ripped into Megan Rapinoe for acting “dismissive” to a boy trying to get an autograph from the American soccer star.
Mr Morgan tweeted about the viral video and Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios retweeted the clip, agreeing with the journalist.
“We have finally bonded over Megan Rapinoe being a spoilt, petulant brat,” Mr Morgan said.
In a sit-down interview with the Sky News Australia host, Kyrgios refused to double down on his comments and said he is not going to “criticise athletes”.
“I had my idols and when they saw in tennis balls for me, I was always super, super excited,” he said.
“So I know the relevance and the importance of being present in those moments.”

I had the exact opposite experience when my son, who idolises him to this day, at age 10, met Peter Brock at a signing event. He engaged directly with him, remembered his name and made him feel very special. A real people person, something Rapinoe is definitely not.

Nick can get under your skin... Nick is irascible and sometimes he can be absolutely maddening. However, in spite of his faults, he is a great athlete. He is also his own man and does things his own way. He's different - but highly entertaining and beloved by younger fans.
