Piers Morgan slams Megan Rapinoe: 'She's the world's most annoying sports star'

Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has taken aim at American soccer player Megan Rapinoe -declaring she is the "world's most annoying sports star".
Ms Rapinoe has played more than 200 games for the United States national women's soccer team and has been outspoken in her work away from the pitch, while at times being the centre of controversy herself.
In the past Ms Rapinoe has kneeled during the US national anthem and has also been outspoken in being welcoming of transgender athletes in women's sports.
"I love being able to leverage this amazing platform and use that to in some way make the world a better place," Ms Rapinoe has said in the past.
"Honestly, you kick a round little ball around, that's it," Mr Morgan said.
"Let me tell you what she means by this stuff 'off the pitch' ... now she's retired, now she says she wants to see biological males who've transitioned to be trans women, play in the women's national soccer team."

Women's soccer in the US in general is doing a good job of alienating those who might otherwise support them. I frequently watched my local team and gave them my support as I do the men's team. However, the players grew noticeably resentful of the attendances the men's team drew, and increasingly obnoxious in their attempts to "entice" more fans, which amounted to guilting and shaming people into going to watch them. It began with pointing out how they were currently doing better than the men in their respective league, moved on to deludedly declaring that they were every bit as good as the men, and the last I heard (because I stopped going having had my fill of their nonsense), was that if you supported the men's team but didn't go to the women's games too, you were a bad fan, sexist/misogynist etc.

Saw on some vid where the parents took the school to court to fight for their daughter's rights to be able to try out for the high school American football team just like any other boy. Opening game day they gave her the ball to run with. The cornerback guessed right and treated her like a regular player. He was at full speed and running down hard on her. She simply froze like a buck being caught by your car's headlights. The helmet went flying as she hit the ground brutally hard. It stated that she got a pretty good concussion, her collar bone was broken, and her sternum was nearly all of it shattered. Her hip was nearly bruised from the landing. She fumbled and picked up the ball for six points. They were ready to crucify the boy. He said he'd do it again. These women who want equal rights then expect to get equal rights when you come over to our house. I won't go easy on you if you still want to play football. Besides, if she had proper fitted gear then chances are she probably wouldn't be that badly damaged. The girl's parents are now taking the school back to court for not having the proper equipment. Think the school won. As for the girl she made a full physical recovery but she stopped for equality shit. She wound up being an introvert. Unfortunately her strong fighting spirit left her.
