You could have used the word “please” in your sentence, which would make this sentence a request to your viewers rather than command and also polite.

The NPP government deserves praise for its decisive actions to eliminate widespread corruption and power abuse. This marks a significant shift in Sri Lanka, although it is only a short-term solution. Sri Lanka's ethnic and religious issues will persist, and the country will not progress unless the entrenched ideology of "This is only a Sinhalese Buddhist country" is challenged and transformed. If a Sinhala political faction continues to advocate the protection of Buddha and Sinhala in response to the growing minority, the Sinhala majority will continue to support them. The Separate Sinhala Act, enacted by Mr. Bandaranaike, was a result of the ideology of separate Sinhala/majority, Who first initially addressed the politics of racial equality. It is imperative to engage the Sinhalese people in a friendly and open dialogue about their ideology and to cultivate honest leadership that can help alleviate their fears. The people of Sri Lanka are wrongly brought up from school that it is necessary to protect religion and God rather than the life of fellow human beings.

The "rules" of English grammar are based on conventions that are most commonly used, but that doesn't mean people always follow them. Spoken language tends to be more about communication than strict rules. As long as people understand each other, breaking some rules (like using double negatives or informal contractions) is common in everyday conversation. Summery accents, dialects, cultural background, and the difference between formal and informal settings all influence how people speak English in the UK. While written English usually sticks to standard grammar, spoken English is more fluid and allows for regional and personal variations.

@@rkananke . This is correct. English people themselves do not use ‘word perfect’ English when speaking to each other in their day to day lives. There are a lot of slang as well and also more and more bad language is used, even by the well educated English people. The problem with Sri Lankan people is, they think they speak better English than the English people themselves. They show off their knowledge by translating Sinhala into English, word for word, and by using the word, ‘No’, after a sentence. ‘It’s raining no?’ ‘He can’t speak English no?’ The ending is, ‘isn’t it? ‘It’s raining, isn’t it?’ It’s infuriating when people sneer at you for not being able to speak English. In other countries, the world leaders employ translators during meetings, because English is not their mother tongue. It’s an insult to our mother tongue if you sneer at people who cannot speak English. All those English speaking politicians we had in Sri Lanka, bankrupted the country. So much for their knowledge in English. Just do not insult our honourable prime minister. Use yourself as an example. Your accent when saying ‘don’t ‘, shows that you’re not as clever as you think. English people will pick on you if they hear you speak in English with an accent.

That's why c underestimate other people
English is a universal language that people who can't grasp other languages can use to communicate. Even though my English isn't very strong, I can still convey things well enough for the other person to comprehend. In order to interact with our Tamil-speaking community, we Sri Lankans should first learn Tamil, our second mother tongue. In addition to learning Tamil, our Sinhalese folks enjoy learning Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Italian, French, Russian, and German. I have nothing against those, but at least try to learn Tamil, as Sri Lanka is a multiethnic nation. Tamil is the mother tongue and the second language, not Hindi.
