Dear Sir Clause is possible only when there are two finite verbs and their subjects. It is always a part of sentence not a sentence itself. So saying that a sentence is a clause is wrong.

Sir I had a doubt Why do we take subordinate conjunction as a part of the clause but why don't we take coordinating conjunctions as a part of the clause?
