I really just started to return to Jesus this week, not even realizing it was already Holy Week until I saw your podcast for Palm Sunday. All of these videos have really helped me solidify my understanding of Jesus as a real person so thank you!

Thank you. Will you speak of Jesus descending to Hell during this Holy Week? To take away the keys.

I love how you reveal the comparatives - who do we choose? The meaning of the name of the person (Barabbas - son of the. Father) or Jesus the actual Son of God! Let us not follow the crown and choose Barabbas

Guys, loved this page, but was confronted by someone’s else’s perspective saying that there is a debate about weather jesus was really crucified on a Friday or thursday(which would be the only way Jesus would be dead for 3 days and 3 nights), so could you guys break that out for me? It’s the first time I ever heard that and after googled it, apparently it’s a thing?

Great question Gustavo. "Three days and three nights" is a Hebrew idiom, not an exact description of time passed. Matthew 12:40 doesn't intend to communicate that Jesus was buried for exactly 72 hours. That phrase is closer in meaning to the way we might say "in about three days." The intention of the idiom isn't to give us a precise time but to indicate that it was "on the third day" Jesus rose from the dead. Which he did! Friday - Buried (Day One) Saturday Buried (Day Two) Sunday - Risen (Day Three) Hope that helps!

Great video, surprised that you didn't mention "God why have you forsaken me?" while on the cross?? Its a tough one to understand. Was Jesus cursing at God for allowing him to be tortured/killed? Was that the last bit of 'humanity' leaving Jesus so that God's plan could be completed? I'm not sure but nonetheless, great podcast!
