To be honest as good as the Dream Stages are in the original, I wish that they were like this instead. Including the fact that Patrick’s Mind actually isn’t some stupid black void. It’s an actual reference to the show. Having Patrick to wish up a Spatula is much better than “Okay you talked to me, here’s your reward.” I also really like the remade Patrick Dream Stage. 😊💖

The joke in the original Dream stage was that Patrick had no brain/an empty head, hence the void you enter. So when he asks to find the Spatula, there's nowhere to look but in his hand.

@@Akoarum Oh okay. But I mean I really wish that it just wasn’t so easy to get. Like you should explore or get collectibles to get it instead since they lack in SpongeBob’s Dream. Like in every level excluding Character Boss Fights, there is like the whole King Jellyfish Jelly Objective. Maybe you could collect different flavors of ice cream? That was intended as a play on Kirby's Dreamland (plus it's two syllables to match).

Yeah, I kind of ALREADY knew that it was meant to be like Kirby dream land, but "Spongebob's dreamland" would still make more sense, I kind of thought it was on purpose anyways! Also you're actually kind of WRONG about the Patrick dream stage, it was GOING to be about food, snacks, candies, ice creams, and chocolate but the devs ran outta time so they decided to turn the Patrick's mind stage into the final Patrick's dream stage since a tiny black void was not ONLY the SIMPLEST thing that they could even GO FOR but it also made a LOT of sense, too!

It's not a game you download, it's a mod you have to patch onto BFBB (for either GCN or Xbox). Instructions on how to are on the Heavy Iron Modding wiki page.
