I grew up with this game along with the GBA versions of Supersponge, Battle for Bikini Bottom and the movie game. This one is never talked about, not even the console version of it. I hear the console version is really bad compared to the sequels. But this and BfBB use the exact same engine on GBA and feel almost identical to control. I wish the GBA SpongeBob games got remastered or given a successor like has been recently happening for the console ones.

Yeah I agree. =) The console version of this game is really bad unfortunately, but all the SpongeBob GBA games are good fun. This one actually became my favorite GBA SpongeBob game after playing through all of them.

Ngl, this game was an actual fun time for me, more than the GBA version of BtBB! The puzzle platformer approach with different bubble soap types really scratched that very specific itch. The last level was where I stopped because it was just insipidly long for me to beat at the time, and I then never quite got around to it. Kinda sucks too, I was on my way to 100% the game as well, had found every single doubloon on the other levels and all.
