Spongebob: Idiot Box (Live Action Director's Commentary)

I will be taking a look back at all of our live action Spongebob videos and giving some director's commentary. No better place to start than the very first one!

That’s too bad you don’t plan on making any new ones, I really enjoy them. Personally I was hoping you would do Squid’s Day Off, that’s one of my favorite episodes

@@rachel_a_whisman17 We seriously did consider making another episode. The problem is the special effects in a lot of the SpongeBob episodes and extra characters. Looking at the ones we have already done, there aren't many more good candidates which wouldn't require significant cuts or rewriting to make it possible for us to make the video. There is a snow ball fight episode we talked about doing but we are somewhat reliant on snow here... plus filming in the cold sucks. Go watch the Missing Identity episode. We were freezing making that video and it didn't even have snow.

Honestly I was hoping they would do Squid’s Day Off, it’s one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes but it would be a little hard to find extras when Squidward runs by a mom and her son. It would also be hard to do when Mr. Krabs gets hit in the head with various items and goes unconscious

Guy who went to high school with Drew and Jake (Galen, if they remember) here. Seeing this was honestly kind of surreal, I remember watching this when it was first premiered. I'm glad to see y'all are still active with your own projects, though! It's really nice to know you guys are still out there doing cool shit. And don't feel bad about ending the series, it's really easy to get pigeonholed as a creator, especially on KZbin, when the algorithm decides what will be your most popular stuff. Do what you enjoy, it'll be way more fulfilling.
