Plankton is not playable in the final boss because basically you are fighting plankton. But what I noticed is that when your playing the mermaid man and barnacle boy level in the mermalair, plankton is always active through out the entire level no matter if you drop out or are playing 1 player.

I did go in 2020 to play Rehydrated. But I didn't like it there too much. It's so full and crowded and you can't sit down anywhere, really not pleasant in my opinion. Also the same thing that you could play there was uploaded by official channels. I thought when I did go there that I would have some exclusive gameplay footage that my viewers could enjoy but it wasn't like that, which was disappointing to me. With that said, I am not gonna go this time :/
