At this point of the series, you clearly hear Tom Kenny aging voice slowly changing SpongeBob tone. It’s noticeable by season 12 that SpongeBob has a very raspy voice. The other characters sound the same, probably because they’re don’t have high pitch voice as SpongeBob. Im surprised Patrick voice hasn’t aged. I think Mr Krabs is the only character that would sound better with an aging voice.

Marge Simpson and Mr. Burns are the same way. Julie Kavner and Harry Shearer have aged so much that they can no longer do the character's voices quite how they used to.

I've heard people saying that about the current season too. I can kind of hear the aging in SpongeBob's voice, especially more recently or scenes where he has to emote. The recent SpongeBob The Cosmic Shake and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 video games have the same issue with SpongeBob voice.

It’s going to be a point of time where SpongeBob voice will not be recognizable anymore. It’s honestly depressing to hear SpongeBob slowly sounding old despite him being the same youthful adult character, something about it makes be sad. The character no longer sound or feel like a child like adult but rather a middle age man stuck in time. I don’t know, why but it gives me eerie feeling. It’s hard to watch new episodes because of that

I will give you one heads up on something, since you've noticed the faces and actions of the characters in this season are funny, Season 12 of spongebob has some crazy faces and moments. 😜 🤪

I had never seen Cuddle E. Hugs until now! That was such a bizarre episode, even by SpongeBob standards. Not quite as weird as Squidward in Clarinetland, but pretty close.

Of course, at the end it has to revealed that it was all a dream. The Tidal Zone episodes this season ("No Pictures Please" and "The Night Patty") try to do a similar thing. Have a bizarre plot, but of course then randomly do a 180 and shove this French Narrator guy at the end of the episode claiming oh the characters don't remember these events or whatever. Even though this show doesn't have continuity and is not canon for the most part so of course the characters are NOT going to remember the events by the next episode. I don't know why you need dream sequences or The Tidal Zone thing to try telling me that "this episode is not canon" when the whole bloody show is not canon. Whatever you say French Narrator guy. Whatever you say man.
