“Feral Friends” is definitely another episode unlike they’ve never made before. They actually show what underwater creatures actually look like and do. Not everything you see in kids cartoons has to be wacky or silly, sometimes it’s educational.

There's a deleted storyboard cutaway joke, where Plankton gets turned into into a feral copepod at the chum bucket while waiting for dinner, and Karen mistakes him as a bug and squishes him with a flywatter. I wish they kept it, but still a really really creative and awesome episode.

I love “Feral Friends" and my favorite part of the episode was when the French Narrator who is literally in the Scuba Gear and a friend to Sandy Cheeks give of details and facts to SpongeBob and his friends primitive forms as sea creatures like a nature documentary and as we all known Stephen Hillenburg (R.I.P.) started of as a marine biologist before becoming a writer, storyboard artist and an animator on Rocko’s Modern Life before making a big break on _SpongeBob Square Pants_

Feral Friends is one of the best episodes I've enjoyed. Neptune Moon has turned the entire Bikini Bottomites into real sea creatures. Neptune Sun has turned Sandy into a real squirrel and Patchy and Potty into primates 🐟🐠🐡🐙🦀🦞🐋😱🤣

I also give kudos to the animators on how they designed the primitive realistic forms of the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom into real sea creatures (e.g. Fish, Whales, Crabs, Pufferfish).

As someone who studied both Marine Biology and Oceanography in college, I can say that most of the primitive characteristics featured in “Feral Friends” is accurately correct. However, since Squidward is technically an Octopus rather than a squid and Octopi don’t normally grow as large, an encounter with a giant octopus and a Sperm Whale wouldn’t happen. Colossal or giant Squid which can sometimes grow to be 60 ft long but are rarely seen or recorded are the Sperm Whale’s natural prey!!!

20:57 as opposed to Squid's name, he's confirmed to be an octopus (The late Stephen Hillenburg stated it was easier drawing him with 6 tentacles instead of 8) And for the longest time, I too thought he was a Squid. 22:35-23:13 Believe it or not, all of these things are actually true. 24:49-25:15 this is easily one my favorite part of the episode (I laugh at it every single time) "Feral Friends" is easily one of the best episodes this cartoon has. It made us laugh, and it taught us some creature facts about Spongey & his friends (in their primitive forms), Solid 10/10

​@@frozen2yesdespicableme4no what let's discuss the plot feels like demolition doofus I will take advantage of squidwards talent and take squidward all for me just like I Will take advantage of SpongeBob on his title of boating one coarse meal a bit I will scare him to keep him away from the formula I will scare squidward into getting pictures except the emotions scared plankton whale all algues are greener he wasn't that scared yes he knows in the universe he is her father but I feel like he should have used his device to get out when she starts to cry he could've but didn't he literally is terrified of her in one coarse meal so why couldn't he that tells me the plot is a bit confused in this out of the picture he wants to sell his picture but MrKrabs wants it and scares him with it torturing him with a hammer but atleast they made up at the end the man who wants the paintings is quite cruel but MrKrabs is used wrong in this one and greedy yes I know he sold SpongeBobs sold for 62 cents but trying to kill squidward just because he wanted to to become an artist over selfishness and greediness is a bit meaner then selling out someone's sanity and personality and SpongeBob at the end didn't lose it neither squidward but yeah MrKrabs has sinked his character too far into exploiting kids to attempting to kill squidward just for his art and money wow.
