@ShadowtheKZbinr523 I mean, technically he took over Bikini Bottom in the first movie, so he succeeded SpongeBob in making progress 20 years ago. Which is still kinda out of character to me, since we all know even if Plankton wins he would just start missing all the competition he had with Krabs, that what most villians experience after victory. That's why I prefer Sponge Out Of Water ending that despite Plankton still staying a villian he admitted that he liked Krabs and his crew of weirdos.

Penny Foolish is genuinely hilarious but like the rest of season 6 works when you watch it under a very specific mindset. The scene where Krabs remembers SpongeBob picking up the “penny” and then it cuts to him doing the exact thing that the audience just saw is so dumb that it’s really funny. I remember that so many people hated that joke lol.

Me neither. Who in the world would criticize an epic kids show?! I will say that there are some episodes that may not be my favorites, but me and my mom still love this show in our entire lives. In my opinion, I can only watch it from season 1 to the first half of season 9 (not the entire 9th season mind you).

​@jaimea.5207 That and the whole thing with the show being good only when Stephen worked on it. Season 1-3 also had bad episodes which Hillenberg was a part of. People can criticize "Sponge on the Run" all they want and I'm not fond of Sandy retcon too, but I feel like this was better than whatever story about cat aliens was planned by Hillenberg. That just felt obscure and not really in SpongeBob's style(for the record, I love Sponge out of Water for all its craziness and consider it superior than 2004 movie)

@edwintaco These kinds of cartoons never really go "bad", there only can be more poor-written episodes than good ones. There are understandable aspects why people are not fond of newer seasons, but the humor is still mostly on point. It's a phenomenon that SpongeBob still goes strong after 24 years and voice actors still got the mojo at delivering their characters

@jaimea.5207 Their quick change in talent in Band Geeks doesn't destroy the entire story. Because the amount of time they had was never relevant to the plot. Becoming a good band was. This ending was literally crucial to the plot. He couldn't get his license because this guy who no character saw for some reason was pulling the boat the whole time. That ridiculous ending ruins the episode.

I’m NOT a fan of SpongeBob’s creepy blank expressions that start in this season. Otherwise, Penny Foolish is a pretty good episode. It’s kinda fun seeing Mr. Krabs go nuts. Wait season 14 is already here? I don’t have cable so I don’t know. It’s crazy the complete season 13 of SpongeBob dvd, newest season is going to be released on December. I’m glad paramount is still producing new complete seasons DVDs for SpongeBob in 2023, they must still be selling well. I will preorder despite people saying it’s a bad season. I like collecting all because I know there’s gems episodes within the bad seasons.

Season 5 was kind of a mixed bag, but did have some legitimately good episodes. Season 6 on the other hand is where Spongebob really started to go downhill. It has a few decent episodes occasionally, but it only gets worse from here, so prepare yourselves for the worst...

Mr krabs in the old seasons may have been cheap but he was still a caring boss, heck in the suds episode he cared more about spongebob's health.
