In 2019 after the creator of Spongebob Stephan Hillenburg passed away the NFL was hinting that they were going to play "Sweet Victory" during the Super Bowl halftime, by posting Spongebob related stuff on the Super Bowl's social media pages. Many Spongebob fans watched that Super Bowl and were somewhat outraged when they used literally like 5-10 seconds as a way to introduce Maroon 5. Finally this past Super Bowl Nickelodeon had their own special coverage for the game and they started their coverage with "Sweet Victory" in full.
