It was actually more interesting than the actual Spongebob cartoon. Patchy's man-child behavior was good for laughs, also. "The Sponge That Could Fly" episode, however was the least interesting part and should have stayed lost.

It was honestly the best part of the lost episode. It was so out of left field and worked PERFECTLY despite it’s simplicity. The different animations were funny and the music was a bop. The “real” lost episode was a disappointment. Just a standard episode stretched out and without the absurdist charm.

Not really lost media but in the original episode this scene was 7 minutes long. Most people don’t know that somehow. If you look at the episode you can see that it’s 17 ish minutes long. They cut out the original making it lost media. But I don’t think it counts as lost media.

Me and my brother used to watch this episode all the time and constantly reference it even years later. Got to see Tom Kenny in person a couple weeks ago. We decided to bring our VHS copy of the episode we've had since we were kids and have him sign it, even going to a little extra trouble of printing a special label so it looked like the "Lost Episode" tape that Patchy finds in the chest. I even went dressed as the miner that gives him the tape. Of course, the first thing he said when he saw the label was "I bet it's just a bunch of cheap walk cycles, right?"
